Step-by-step Drawing Book: 1

Great for my 5 year old who is interested in learning to draw. The book breaks each drawing down into little shapes and that helped her see how pictures can be drawn. Lots of room to do your own drawings and copy the pictures too. A nice book we can use or pop in a bag to take out with us.

Excellent for kids 3-5 and above. Clear instructions and lots of options for drawing. A great gift for young school age kids

What an outstanding book! My children (4yrs old and 6yrs old) love this book and will spend a lot of time trying to dray the large variety of everythings shown in this book! It guides you step by step, and then it'll show you some ways to tweak what you've drawn for some variety. It's wonderful to see my children's interest, confidence, and smiles after having drawn a knight or a city skyline, or a pirate ship! This book is a keeper and I'd even say it's fun for adults who want to do something with their time that is fun, simple, and creative instead of looking at what bozos are doing on Tiktok!

This is ok for more advanced drawers my son prefers to use his imagination more rather than use a drawing book

Fantastic drawing book. Daughter loves it. Easy to use

Lovely book, we have all three of the Usborne step by step drawing books. Very easy to follow, breaks down pictures into drawing mostly simple known shapes, and putting them together to get the picture, which my 6 year old could do, ending up with something which looked like the thing it was supposed to resemble, and a fun light hearted version of it, which gave my daughter (who thinks she can't draw well) a great sense of achievement. Only things which you may want to be aware of (i) My daughter tells me that some of the faces they show you how to draw, are in one of the other two books, so it looks like there is an element of overlap between books, albeit small. (ii) Also, the book is fairly thick - nice thick pages to draw on, but most of the space on the pages is for the child to draw on rather than instructions and tips, not necessarily a downside, but if you're using 'thinkness' of book to gauge volume of content, this might just be worth considering, but yes, for a 6 year old who lacks confidence in drawing, this is a good book.

My 4 year old grandson engaged in it immediately and enjoyed the process.

This book contains helpful steps to draw a variety of items. Good layout. Better if it could lie flat but a lovely child-friendly book.

My 5 year old loves this book. Even my 3.5 year old has been using it and making progress with drawing. I was so surprised. The shapes and directions make it easy to follow and create awesome drawings.
