Grooming Manual for the Dog and Cat

As a professional Dog Groomer I'm always on the look out for books that will assist me with my job, and this book has been very helpful. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who is currently learning to be a dog groomer; as well as pet owners who would like to know more about how to care for their pet. The added bonus is that cat care is also covered by this book. There are helpful tips about the day-to-day care of the dog and cat; including brushing, bathing, ear, eye and tooth care etc. There is also a lot of information covering health and safety when grooming; including what to look out for in terms of parasites. The one negative is that for anyone who is expecting a step-by-step guide to the actual method of cutting their dog or cats hair; there is not the level of detail to do this. Overall, I think this book is great for anyone who in enthusiastic about their pet and dog/cat grooming learners.

This book was a reuirement to assist me on my City and guilds proffesional dog grooming course, as a student starting out the costs of equipment and books was hard to keep up with so i was very pleased to find this book on this site at the cheapest price i could find, thank you very much and i would highly reccomend this book to all

Arrived in excellent condition . An expensive buy but worth every penny to anyone starting out in the dog grooming business . Pictures and instructions very clear and informative . Very useful book

This is a great book for anybody learning to dog and cat groom. It is full of useful information and the best part is, it shows you the grooming pattern that each of the main breeds should have including which blades to use, where is scissor and blend ect. This is a great book if you are just starting out and you need a little guidance. The only down-point I would say is that it would be helpful if every breed they showed had a picture of a show groom and a pet trim. The majority of pictures are of show dogs whereas many of my clients would like to see how the pet trim is suppose to look. Otherwise, a very good informative book.

A good first read for a new groomer waiting to train, i really enjoyed reading it. very easy to read

Very Good book for anybody interested in learning Dog Grooming. I have learnt a lot from this book, some good tips etc. Just need to get stuck in and practice makes perfect !

this is a great book all you need to know about grooming easy to follow has all the information you need with pictures and step by step guidelines

My daughter needed this for her grooming course. I felt it was overpriced, but my daughter thought it was ok.

i bought this book so i could learn how to groom my persian cat. it talks alot about dog cuts but nothing really about cats. ive read the entire book and i still dont know how to groom my persian. this book is more along the lines of a beginning class in taking care of animals. not much about the actual grooming procedures themselves. there is alot of information about skin diseases and such. im still looking for another cat groomig book.
