MEDiBrace Lower Back Support Belt, Lumbar Brace, Sciatica Pain Relief

I have suffered from chronic lower back pain for some years. The pain comes and goes, but can come on through the simplest of movements. I have had a back support (from the NHS), but this eventually wore out. Earlier this year I started looking around for another back support which would be lighter than the NHS one, and a little larger (as I'd put a little weight on over the years). I read all the write ups and eventually chose to give the "Medibrace" a try. At nearly £30.00 (with P+P) it is one of the more expensive back supports, but it had many excellent reviews so I bought one (XL size for my 36" waist). It arrived in less than a week. Well packaged, and with an instruction leaflet. It felt very light and looked to be well made. I tried it on immediately. It was very easy to put on, and it has a "double pull" action. You place the belt around your waist (low down) and pull - but not too much - and then press the wide "velcro" belt together. The support felt very comfortable at this stage. You then grip the two extra belts which are hanging down at the back, pull the very stretchy belts around towards the front of your body and when you feel the belt pulled tight around your body you press the "velcro" belts together. The belt again felt very comfortable and gave me the immediate feeling that my back was being supported firmly - but not too much. I tried pulling the stretchy belts tighter, then slacker, but the first position was the most comfortable. I carried out a days work fitting and plumbing in a new toilet in our house, and at the end of the day my back felt fine. I could feel the belt supporting me all the time I was wearing it. When I took it off, my skin was a bit "sweaty" - but no more so than when I wore the NHS belt. I now wear the belt whenever I'm going to do any work requiring a lot of bending, stretching and lifting. In the two weeks I've had the belt, I can only praise the design, quality and effectiveness of the support it gives. Every time I wear the Medibrace support, it not only gives me physical support, but also gives me confidence to tackle the simple tasks of everyday life, which without a back support, I would have approached with some trepidation. I find this back support excellent, I use it when I'm gardening as I really suffered from back ache after weeding. I'm really surprised at how much this has helped and would highly recommend it.

The detachable Ergonomic Lumbar Pad is exactly what makes this Back Support Belt Brace so unique, because, it “fills” the gap between the Sacro and your mattress when you lie face up, which, in my personal experience is when the lumbar area bends to accommodate the spine to the surface underneath and the dislocation occurs. I’m not an orthopaedic specialist or a chiropractor by any means, just an ordinary person like the next one. I’m just trying to describe my problem and how this MediBrace PLUS Back Support and its detachable Lumbar Pad, completely healed my lower back pain. I reached a point in which my sciatic nerve felt compromised having difficulty in sitting down and standing back up again because of the pain in my left upper leg. I thought it was my hamstring muscle, but a physiotherapist said it was my sciatic nerve being compressed by the vertebrae in the sacral area. I found this fantastic product and a couple of days after starting wearing it I already felt the difference. In a week, all the pain in my leg disappeared and now I hardly need to wear the belt anymore. I just attach the Ergonomic Lumbar Pad on the back of my pijama trouser to make sure my sacro bone stay in place. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone with similar problems. The Medibrace lower back support is well made and should last some time. I have a reoccurring back injury which usually comes on after a heavy gardening session and then I cant bend etc. due to the extreme pain and muscle spasms. I decided to try a Medibrace after reading the feedback so ordered and it arrived next day - I wore it at work from lunch time onwards just for general support. I was surprised how much support the Medibrace gave me and my pain did reduce quite a lot over the afternoon which simply proves that the Medibrace can help at all times, not just when doing heavy work. I do sit at a desk all day so tend to slouch over my keyboard but the Medibrace does help reduce the slouching. However it does ride up a little when sitting but its not uncomfortable and easy to adjust occasionally - I do wear it over my clothes. My only criticism is that the sizing is very tight - I am a 34/36 trouser but the large size (32 to 38) only just fits me after the maximum allowed adjustment but the Velcro is quite strong so it doesn't pull apart. If you are a 36 waist I would buy the extra large (35 to 42) size. Therefore in doing what I preach, and finding the support works really well, I have ordered the extra large one and will use at home leaving the large one at work or whatever. I guess it depends on the type of back problem you have but for my Facet Joint issue, I would recommend the Medibrace with 5 stars but just be careful when ordering your particular size.

I’m 6,2 ft tall and dealing with a slipped disc, and this has been amazingly helpful in helping me manage it. I hardly ever leave feedback, but I felt this deserved it. I got size L.

I bought this first for lower back pain but at the moment I am not sure how well it is going to work, needed a smaller one but sold out, it's large but fits OK, comfortable to wear even under my jeans as it's slim, very wide so gives good support when lifting heavy items, good design but I don't think it will help cure my problem but it will give support, very easy to use but I'm not sure how to place the backbone part, but great value for money if all you need is support, does not irritate as you need to wear it over a tee-shirt.

Although this does offer support, I find that the majority of the support is in the front (belly area) rather than at the back where I need it most

So I fell off a ladder landing awkwardly on my lower back on an out door wicker chair, a month and a half later the pain and discomfort were almost to much. I work in the service industry outside constantly bending, leaning and carrying heavy items. Actually I was very limited on the work I could perform and finally had to stop working cause my back was not getting any better, so before making a dr. Appt and being told to do physical therapy, strengthen your core, I bought this little gem. I wore it back to work and after a 16 hour day, no pain and very little discomfort, next day, even better, and the next so much better I took it off with a couple hours left on the job I was on,within minutes I started feeling plain and discomfort. Immediately put it back on and I was goisyfor the remainder of the job. Do yourself a favor, this is a miracle worker, it has helped me beyond what any doctor could do. You’ll be pleasantly surprised

Por mi afición al deporte y el desgaste que puede conllevar practicarlo, he utilizado diferentes productos para sujetar ligamentos o problemas en la espalda. Después de varios días de prueba con el cinturón lumbar MEDiBrace, el resultado ha sido perfecto. Está sien construido y la sujeción es la mejor que he probado. Una primera banda más ancha y con Velcro, que recoge bien la cintura y el sacro, y una segunda también con Velcro que regula la presión que se desee, sujetando a la perfección la zona proteger. Muy recomendable!
