Merrell Women's Encore Breeze 3 Slip-On Shoe

I am SO, SO glad I purchased these hiking shoes when they were on sale a year + ago. I live in the Raleigh, NC area, where there are plenty of hiking trails and parks all around, and I wanted a sturdier shoe for when I hit more areas with tree roots, more granite outcroppings, etc. These have been my go-to outdoor shoes for a while now. I have very wide feet, but these fit like a glove. They have been comfortable since the day I bought them. They have excellent arch support, and I can walk around in a park for hours with no foot pain. The pic shown is after a year + of consistent wear. I am now a hardcore Merrell fan and will most likely continue looking for another MOAB version with higher ankle support and/or waterproof for when we go out to the mountains.

Comfortable and durable

These sneakers are so comfortable. No need to wear them in for first time use. And they are stylish and can be worn with any outfit.

These are by far the best hiking boots/shoes; you can wear them straight out of the box. Comfortable enough to put on and just go.

While these are comfortable they done fit well enough to stay on my feet well. They tend to slip off when I have my foot on the gas or im walking. I have adjusted them and its still hard to keep the straps in place. I wear them most when im the passenger princess and dont have to walk too far! I have wide feet and they fit well around my bunion.

Last year I bought the encore vellum a size large (at the recommendation of a podiarst). They felt large but very comfortable. I found my regular size on sale at an amazing price and ordered a seond. It turned out to be a great idea because my puppy attacked hte first pair and ate one of the insoles :p I wore the other pair while waiting for new insoles from Merrell. Unfortunately insoles do not come in half sizes so it never felt quitr the same, still they were more comfortable, offered better arch support than anything else in my closet (I wear mostly Alegra and Jambu). I sitll have a difficult time believing that these are more comfortabler than Alegria! I love my Merrells. After a year of wearing them basically daily it is time to replace them. That is my one and only withhold. Merrells used to last forever. I have a pair of suede sneakers which I have had for close to 20 years! I live in Hawaii, and do not wear closed shoes often. I wore a pair of timberland pro clogs to my son's graduation 2 weeks ago, and still have blisters from them. The only shoes I can wear comfortably now are my Merrells. The style I bought last year is almost unobtainable, and very expensive, so I returned to the encore line looking for other ventilated clogs. I was thrilled to find the encore breeze in a great color at a great price. I got them a few minutes ago and they feel just like my old ones, except the sole (which is in shreds o my old shoes) is intact. I finds the sizing on these perfect. I have average to narrow feet. I have had to return so so many pair of shoes because I took sizing advice from one or another reviewer reviewers who I am guessing weighed a good deal more than I do but didn't mention that when complaining about size or width. I have no issue with sizing on these, and have had sigfnificant foot problems (including breaking one foot and the other ankle and consequently having swelling related to the breaks). I am now contemplating a second pair because i now know that I will be wearing these every day, and that puppy is just 1 year old last week and continues to attack my shoes.

I am very happy with these shoes and buying more. I am size 9 and that size worked well. It is good there are wide sizes and I have needed those for other shoes, but 9 still felt roomy enough in the toe and metatarsal area. I have a bunion and mortin's neuroma in one foot and the width of the toe box was what really made these shoes useful for me. I will try the 9W to see if it helps even more. I did put in a memory foam insole on top of the insole it came with to make it softer and I just replaced both of those with a more orthopedic structural insole to help heal the foot issues - the width of the toe box works well with the insole. I would take off stars but I find I have to put more/ better insoles into almost all hiking shoes I buy. The greige is a beautiful combo of subtle colors. Love that they use slightly flatter shoe laces that stay tied.

Good looking shoe fits well but hurts heel after only short time using. Is there really good walking shoe there?

Das ist jetzt mein fünfter Wanderschuh von Moab, und mit der aktuellen Generation Moab 3 haben sich der Komfort und die Sohle noch mal erheblich verbessert. Der Vorfuss ist nicht mehr ganz so extrem breit wie bei den älteren Modellen, bietet aber immer noch genügend Platz für meinen Hallux-Zeh, um auch lange Wanderungen schmerzfrei und komfortabel zu überstehen. Ich kaufe Größe 45, bei Normal-Größe 43. Ebenso ist die Ausführung als Stiefel gegenüber den früher verwendeten Halbschuhen ein großer Gewinn an Sicherheit, Schutz für Knöchel in rauhem Gelände und Präventention gegen Umknicken. Die Durchlüftung ist ok auch für heißere Tage, irgendwann schwitzt man in jedem Schuh - aber dann lieber sicher und komfortabel unterwegs sein. Klare Empfehlung - ich werde mir den immer wieder kaufen.
