Great product for injury recovery and general fitness.
This is a great product. I am recovering from a broken leg and this has been a great help with strengthening my ankle in particular. I wanted something sturdy and this certainly is. I'm 14 stone and there isn't a hint of flex in the board. Be warned though, this takes practice. I'd recommend putting a folded up towel under the ball to get started or consider the 66Fit rocker board instead (http://www.amazon.co.uk/66fit-Rocker-Board-Surface-50cm/dp/B00QTIIRJS/ref=sr_1_7?s=sports&ie=UTF8&qid=1423674342&sr=1-7&keywords=66fit+wobble+board). I've got that one too and it's just as well built - just a bit easier. I'm a surfer/skateboarder and even when I've recovered from my broken leg I will continue to use both boards for balance and core strength training.

Excellent for rehabilitation
Very impressed with this...and it showed how weak my legs are! I have had long term medical issues for a number of years which have had an impact on my mobility and have started sports therapy. In addition, I destroyed my foot arch a few years back which has never really recovered so I've been to a podiatrist too (yay, orthopaedic insoles...) - both recommended I used a wobble/balance to help strengthen my legs. I selected this one because it looked sturdy, aesthetically pleasing...and challenging! The first day I was crying with laughter at how bad I was, a week on and I'm already better at using it. I can feel it working my core and definitely the progress of my ankles! The thing that draws me back to it is the fun...because it challenging, the competitive streak kicks in and I simply have to beat it! If I hadn't been banned from doing more than 10 minutes a day at present I'd be on it every chance I get! Coupled with the benefits I can already feel, completely worth every penny.

I find it fun and compulsive to use I am using YouTube videos ...
I have been using this for a few weeks to improve my balance. I am really enjoying it and I think it is helping me improve my balance by sim9le measure of how long i can now stand balanced on it, two legs, one leg etc. I find it fun and compulsive to use I am using YouTube videos as guides as what to do. Its very twitchy so I am using a folded towel under the ball, as recommended in another review, to dampen the action and that has worked for me. I also use it on a flat sheet of hardboard to avoid marking my floor rug. It’s sturdy and well made and I think will last well. Prompt delivery. Recommended.

THINK IT'LL HELP
BOUGHT THIS TO HELP STRENGTHEN LEGS AND ANKLES AND ALSO IMPROVE MY STABILITY CAUSED BY CHRONIC LOWER BACK PROBLEM. NOT USED IT FOR LONG ENOUGH TO DETERMINE THE EFFECTIVENESS BUT IT IS DIFFICULT TO BALANCE AND TAKES GREAT EFFORT TO USE THEREFORE LOOKS PROMISING . BOARD IS WELL MADE AND SUPPORTS ME AT 14 ST./90KG ALTHOUGH I SUSPECT THERE IS GOOD PROFIT FOR THE SUPPLIER. DELIVERED ON TIME WITHOUT PROBLEM. IF IT WORKS FOR ME THEN GOOD VALUE.

Excellent product idea
I have suffered from achilles tendon problems for some years and wanted something to improve muscle tone and help support the ankle joints. I'm not super fit, but don't want my ankles to be the limiting factor to my favourite activities of hill walking, paddle boarding and skiing as I get older . It was hard to know which wobble board would suit best, but having looked at reviews for lots of them, I can say this one is definitely what I need - it's hard work! After a couple of days I've yet to master more than a fleeting true balance, but it's fun, competitive for various family members and certainly didn't feel dangerous for anyone with a reasonable degree of agility. It will make pressure dents in carpets as mentioned by others, but put the board on an old fabric car mat and it can be used on hard floors. Use a solid item of furniture to hold onto if necessary, however I found it ideal whilst doing the ironing - the ironing board giving enough of a balance point means I can continuously exercise my ankles rather than standing in one place without moving for too long. I like being able to multitask and it might give me a regular designated time to focus on using the board!

Grear for recovering from an ankle injury.
It's a great piece of kit. I've recently injured my left foot and ankle from a skateboarding fall back in January 2016. I thought as I'm decent on a skateboard this balance board would be rather easy. I was a little wrong. It took a few days to manage to balance for 5 seconds. Being my left foot I hurt, and I'm right footed. Even 6 seconds was a challenge. After 2 weeks I've used it for, I've gotten up to 10-15 seconds of balance. I'm only using it a small bit here and there. But it has helped me with the improvement of my injury.

Well made balance board.
It's a very well made, very sturdy, balance board. It is difficult to balance and will take time to master it - don't get one expecting to be able to balance immediately. It's much tougher than a wobble cushion, but you have to work at it. Don't use on wooden floors as it will damage them, and it can also make dints on the carpet. I use it on a tiled floor with a piece of carpet or a yoga mat underneath to protect the tiles and to avoid slippage. But it is what it is, and I use it every day.
