Shimano Nexus Inter-3 SG-3C41 Push Rod for 168mm Axle

This is a spring loaded shift rod for a 3 speed internal geared Nexus hub. It installs. Easily and actually cured the shifting on my Nexus hub. If your Nexus is not adjusting maybe this will cure the problem.

It was exactly what I needed, I lost the original one when the shifter housing cracked and came off allowing the rod to slip out. The rod was smaller than I thought, but it fit perfectly and worked equally as well....

Just order by the model number and you can't go wrong. Replaced my snapped off push rod.

This push rod is 82mm long, it is intended for the Nexus 3 speed hub with an overall axle length of 168mm (end to end). There is also a Nexus 3 speed that has a 172mm overall axle length. That hub requires the 87mm push rod. Just an FYI. It seems that Electra Bikes sold some 3 speed cruisers with the wrong length push rods, we've had two in the shop recently that would not adjust properly and it turned out both had the wrong length push rod.

this is the right size for my townie 3 bike... be super careful removing or replacing the nexus shimano shifter mechanism on the rear axle..the threads strip so easily that one must question whether this is an intentional failure point so that one would be forced to purchase the entire shifter

This was just what I needed to get my daughter's bike working again. Who knows what happened to the original part? It just disappeared. I suspect that happens a lot.

This was all I needed to fix my shifter on bicycle. Perfect fit great price! Easy to install and I found directions on you tube.
