Perfect present.
I purchased this salt water vehicle as i was looking for something different for my 7 year old nephew. Hes loves Lego and generally building anything. This was a perfect present for him, we spent hours in building it together and he enjoyed every moment. Months down the line he still very much enjoys playing with it unlike most other toys which simply once played are put in the cupboard. The salt watery was at time hit and a miss but worked for most part. its a excellent educational toy with lots of fun building it. the delivery was very quick, build quality of the item is very good and would highly recommend it. Cool kids project
Bought to keep the 12 year old Grandson quiet on a wet day. Spent a good while building it and really enjoyed himself. Amazing how far it can go on a few drops of salty water. It’s not quick by any means but has a fair amount of torque, gets up a chunky rug no problem. Well worth the price.

Demanding Assembly but Rewarding Result
All the parts need accurate trimming to fit well and give the freedom of motion demanded. The instructions are accurate, though minimal: insert a gear shaft the wrong-way round invites disaster! Cleaning the electrical connections is demanding: we checked the motor non-working by using a 1.5 volt AA battery which guided my son to rebuild the magnesium-saline cell. The finished job is very rewarding. My 7 year old grandson loves the way the 4-wheel drive and flexi-suspension enables the model to climb over obstacles almost its own size. We have yet to discover how to replace the magnesium sheets when they are exhausted - maybe wire in an AA battery and micro-switch? Overall, it is good fun and value for money.

salt water engine kit.
Arrived very quickly, all the fittings press together very well, a bit fiddly i mean small parts but i did it ok in about 2 hours , i was not rushing though. when finished i added a few drops of water and to my surprise it set off slowly and not very powerful but works ok, thank you......although it works OK as a salt water engine its a bit messy and unreliable so I've added a couple of AAA battery's and a switch and I think its better...

Great car, poor 'engine'
Salt water system works great. The actual engine with moving pistons is too stiff and had to be removed to allow the battery to move the car

Wonderful product
We bought this for our 9 year old for Christmas and it has proved to be a great toy. The quality is better than expected and the functionality is spot on. A great opportunity to teach the science behind the Magnesium/air batteries. Note that there is an hour or so of construction but this is part of the benefit of the product. Highly recommended.

Purchase something else for your money.
Disappointing product. Annoyingly bought x2 for Christmas presents and x1 for a birthday for friends son's before purchasing for my own. Goof value for money and arrived quickly. My son is ace at lego and very quickly put models together so I wanted something to stimulate him further. This was a quick product but it doesn't work!! The paper that transfers the salt water is ineffective. Even after my engineering legend of a husband had a good. Product does not work. Extremely disappointed! Should reimburse! But definitely take it off the market!

A really fun and interesting toy to build
this is pretty straightforward to put together if you follow the instructions , but is not something a smaller child could do alone. you need a sharp kofe or file to remove the burrs from the plastic otherwise it will not go together properly. It's great once built, moves pretty swiftly and drives over most surfaces. As noted with some other reviews you do need to bend the metal contacts a little bit to make it work and it is a minor pain to have to clean out the power cell after each use but all in all I am really pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone with a child who likes to make things and any interest in mechanics/electricity

An interesting car kit for a child or any one who still has a child in them and a mechanical aptitude. Good quality and well defined step by step instructions provided for an interesting building experience. It works absolutely fine with five drops of salt water!

D'après les commentaires, je ne pensais pas être déçu. Et je confirme. Cette petite merveille a ravie mon petit. On l'a monté à 2. Ca permet de comprendre les bases de la mécanique et le coté pilte à combustible totalement écolo rend la chose splendide. Vraiment recommandé.

Très bien

Works well. Also produces good torque. Runs for about an hour in one shot of salt water. Only worry is the sheets not lasting for long time.

Malgré tous nos efforts nous ne sommes pas parvenus a faire fonctionner le moteur ou la pile... dommage et déçus :(
