Miracle balm.....AMAZING!!
I was gifted a gorgeous mottled tan leather sofa set and it had been previously stored in a garage for a year. The sofa was already in great condition but the leather had dried out and toughened with the elements. I washed it 1st and used Chambers cream cleanser but realised that whilst that gave it some much needed love, it definitely needed some extra umph.... This balm did exactly that. Ut already looked good but putting this on made it look amazing, beyond words amazing. The difference was literally from thats ok to WOW! It smoothes out some of the rougher patches on the seat. I planned on applying with a cloth....after 30 seconds I realised that hands is the way to go. It took me 30 mins to get onto even nook and cranny and cover ever cm of the couch and cushions. I left for 30 mins and it look 5 mins to buff it off. I applied a very gebourous coat as it hadn't ever been treated before. It absorbed in and I had barely any to buff of. I am going to re do in 4 weeks as I think it really needs it, although job one has done wonders. Literally has bough the leather back to life. Covered a few surface scratches too. I used the vanilla one which smells lovely. Very creamy smelling. This is defo guna remain a purchase. I used quarter a tub for a 3 and a 2 and it was very generously added. This tub will last ages. Last pic is during the soaking in process. Has really brought out the mottled look lovely.

Brilliant product!!
This is the second time I've bought this now and it really is the best product I've used on leather. I bought two leather sofas last year and one was very faded where it had been in direct sunlight, I was really disappointed, I searched the internet for something that could try and restore the colour and bring my sofa's back to life, I came across this product, I'll be honest I wasn't convinced when I bought it but thought for the sake of £10 what did I have to lose I had to try something. So it arrives the next day, first impressions good size, love the smell, this time I decided to go with vanilla which is lovely also. I had to hand both my cloths one for application and one for buffing the leather after, I decided to do a test area in a non obvious place just in case, I didn't need to worry though, I ended up doing the whole sofa one area at a time, applying to one seat base then buffing the area up before moving on to the back of the seat and so on. The difference just with the first application was incredible!! I could see where the sofa was regaining its colour where the sun had faded it. prior to applying the Balsom the sofa felt very dry almost dehydrated, after one application it felt softer and more supple, my concerns about the leather cracking disappeared. Over the space of around three months I did four more applications on the three and two seater sofa's, that's how far this pot goes and I wasn't sparing with it either. This product is an absolute must for all your leather products, I was going to have to purchase a new sofa, using this has saved me an absolute fortune and everyone comments now on how lovely my sofa's are. I recommend this to all my friends and family. I continue to use it once a month to keep my sofa's nice and soft and conditioned 😀

Great product
I was given an old tan distressed leather chair which had never been treated. I love how the wax has brought it back to life, it has brought the colour back and has a soft sheen to it. Although it is easy to apply and polish up, I have arthritis in my thumbs and struggled half way through the polishing. However if you don't have this problem I would recommend it.

Highly recommended
Great product. I bought this more as a preventative than cure and it was amazing. My sofa is 17 years old and showing signs of dryness with a few scuffs and scratches so I bought this to see if it would make the leather more supple again. It really did the trick. It’s so much softer and the few scuffs and scratches have disappeared. You may not be able to see much difference on the photos but there really is a big difference. It looks brand new. I chose the one with vanilla scent and it smells gorgeous even days later. It says you can apply it with your hand or a cloth but I highly recommend using your hand. It’s so much easier to massage in and you don’t use as much using your hand. What I would say is after you’ve rubbed it off with a cloth, get a fresh cloth and wipe it over once more just incase there’s any residue I really can’t say a bad thing about this product it’s easy to use, smells lovely and makes the leather look brand new. It seemed to help make it more resistant to water too. You won’t be disappointed with this product.

Excellent service,
I bought this product to restore the colour on one armrest of my John Lewis Leather Sofa. I was impressed with the fantastic reviews and claims of the seller that it was gentle and natural and would bring back the colour to faded areas. At the time of purchase but since removed was a claim that it CANNOT remove the colour and pictures also since removed showing a rather faded leather cushion being restored to its previous colourful glory. The product arrived promptly and I got an email from the seller informing me of its arrival and telling me I should look forward to good results. I was impressed with this level of customer care from the seller.. I tried the product immediately in the correct way. and it looked good, smelt good. and was soft and gentle in texture. I waited about 10 minutes, then I wiped it off. The armrest looked shinier and a little soft, but also unfortunately looked more faded so then noticed that the cloth I had used to buff up the arm rest had some brown colour of the sofa on it so I was very disappointed as I was expecting a better result. I returned the product to Amazon and got an immediate refund. I also sent an email to the seller who was also disappointed and expressed a view the her product shouldn't cause this. The seller also contacted John Lewis to check about treatment of this type of leather My sofa is of JL's Dalson range and is made of semi-aniline and bonded leather so it may be that this type of leather is not suited to this product but there was no distinction about which type of leather this product should be used for and as far as I know the it is intended for use on all types of leather. Since this I have had the armrest inspected and treated by John Lewis and they were able to restore the colour with a process of polish, sponging and aerosol spray. In the process of restoration JL used a wax and this also removed some of the colour so this may imply that their is a defect with this sofa. The Inspector from JL did recommend that I wax the sofa when it looks dry or cracked. It was just that one area and as the sofa is only 1 year old I was quite alarmed by the fading. It appears that I can use any wax on this sofa but my experience of using Chalmers wax was not a good one. However it is possible that any wax would have been the same. I have had excellent follow up customer service from the seller and I have no doubt that they have great pride and belief in this product. I also feel that all the excellent reviews are deserved. I just wonder if this product is suitable for semi-aniline and bonded leather.

Just buy it and enjoy your leather furniture the way it used to look!
How impressive is this leather balsam? About as impressive as you can get! Our leather suite must be about 10-12 years old now. In good condition but EXTREMELY malnourished. We live in Spain and the INDOOR temperatures this year have been in the mid 30s! During the winter the temperature drops to about 6 degrees and we have a log burner on all winter. One of our sofas is right next to the log burner so you can imagine how dried out the leather becomes. Added to this I have a reoccurring back injury which I need to put a hot water bottle on. I always cover the back of the sofa with a bath towel to try and protect the leather from the hot water bottle but it only does so much and sadly the leather has dried out more in that area. I tried a chemical cleaner/revitalizer last year and it did a very good job for a short time but noticed that it has begun to deteriorate badly lately . I saw this Chambers leather balsam advertised and read the very impressive reviews so thought I would give it a go as I had nothing to lose. Well, I was absolutely amazed at how the appearance has improved! Unlike previous reveiwers I did have to use the whole 200ml tub on 2 sofas and an armchair. There wasn't enough to do the backs (behind the sofas) and the side of one chair but otherwise everything else was done. I now have a brand new looking suite which smells lovely too! I bought the vanilla one which is very subtle but nice. I did think that it would have been great to have had the choice of a leather smelling one as the leather looks so new as the smell would then match the appearance! I will be re-ordering another tub to finish what I could not finish with the first, and should also have enough to go over the worst areas a second time to try and prevent the hide drying out too much this winter. I have been so impressed with the results that I have decided to treat the suite once a year as general maintenance. I just wished I had heard of this years ago as I probably could have avoided the damage the hot water bottle has done. But even though those sections are cracked, the leather is much more supple. I keep running my hand over the suite because it feels so nice! Lol! I applied the balsam by hand as other reviewers have suggested and it worked in very easily. I found it best to do as suggested, take a small amount in your hands and rub into both palms evenly. Then do a sort of swipe across a small area then another swipe next to the first with the other hand. Then go back over it and spread it as far as it wants to go and repeat steps on the next adjoining area. It was REALLY easy to apply! It was sort of like the wax was added to evenly apply the oils to the leather. I didn't have any patches at all and my suite it dark navy so you would have thought it would have shown any patches up. Just shows it is worth the extra effort in applying it well. I left the balsam on the sofa and chair which weren't so bad, for a couple of hours before wiping off with a large microfibre cloth. It was just right for the job and left no lint behind (just as well with navy blue! lol!) I did change the cloth several times to ensure all the residue was removed. You will feel if is all off or not. It was surprisingly easy to wipe off too which was a relief! Although I should say it took several hours to ensure I got into all the little nooks and crannies but worth every minute spent on it. The worst sofa, I left the balsam on all day and it was just as easy to remove as with the rest of the suite. So if you have any reservations about trying this product, don't! Just buy it and sit back and enjoy the results as I intend to do, hopefully for many years to come. A BIG thank you to Chambers leather balsam!

hard work
The wax is VERY solid. Does take about three days to sink in if applied to my dried out leather. Does soften it. Pleased with the product.
