The weight is light. It is not heavy on the head but it does stay in place ( barring a strong wind, storm, etc. ). I have received so many compliments about it! The stitching is richly detailed. It can be washed in the washer and dries quickly.

This veil is absolutely stunning. The luxurious purple is even more vibrant in person—rich, reverent, and beautifully suited to the liturgical season. You can immediately feel the quality of the material. It has just the right weight: not so heavy that it pulls your hair, but not so light that it shifts or flies away. It drapes effortlessly and stays in place throughout Mass. I originally purchased it simply to match the liturgical theme, but it ended up being a complete show‑stopper. Several people commented on how beautiful it was. It’s elegant, comfortable, and truly elevates the whole experience. I couldn’t be happier with it.

I hesitated spending this amount of money, but those around £10 or less are generally stiff or not enough material. This however is like silky lace, hangs beautifully when worn. I received many compliments. Travels well, does not crease or wrinkle.

This is the best mantilla I have ever owned. Been searching for years even from Spain and Mexico but most are flimsy. This one in the black or white version is very weighted and Iis a lovely size.

This arrives in a shrink wrapped gift box measuring approx 29cm x 22.5cm x 2cm. I already have a cream/gold mantilla made by this company & the box is identical with the only difference being what is written on the barcode label, so if you plan to buy more than one to give out as gifts that is something to keep in mind. It would be very easy to wrap or even suitable to just gift as it is - the front of the box has a feather pattern all over it & the back just has some laundry instructions - there is a barcode label on the plastic. Inside, the mantilla is folded in what feels more like butcher paper than the tissue paper I would expect to come with fabric & there is a silver net drawstring bag to store the mantilla in if you don't want to use the box. This mantilla is absolutely beautiful & very well finished. I chose the black as for the past couple of years I seem to have been at more funerals than joyous occasions & while not everyone covers their heads nowadays I regard it as a mark of respect to do so. The 2 included small black hair combs blend in with the mantilla & mean it stays securely in place even if it's a bit windy out if you choose to sew them in. The shape means (without the combs) you can also wear it around your shoulders so a mantilla is useful for more than just using as a head covering. A beautifully crafted piece of wearable art to treasure for years.

This black veil/mantilla is exquisite. The quality of the fabric is very high, and the design is elegant and beautiful. Such a veil is worn by women in the traditional Latin Catholic Mass, and this veil would also be suitable for a funeral or worn as a shawl with an evening dress. It is presented attractively in a printed cardboard box and comes with a voile bag in which it may be kept safe from being snagged in one’s bag. A perfect gift to oneself or another.

Very nice and premium packaging with the veil well protected inside piper. There's no problems with storage either as it comes with a pouch which you can keep the veil in. The veil itself feels very good quality and is nice to the touch. It's comfortable on and as per the blurb can be worn in a number of different ways. It comes with a couple of hair clips to help secure. It's hand wash only and comes with clear instructions on how best to care for it. It's a "niche" item but if you need a veil, this is the perfect choice.
