Midwest Products Co. Wood Strip Economy Bag, Balsa & Basswood

I had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised to find angood selection of thicknesses and widths in this kit. Does not appear to be a pile of leftover trimmings. A nice sharp plant pruner works well to cut the balsa.

These were perfect for the project we're trying to do. All the strips are a little under 9" long, which is exactly the length we need them to be. It was a good variety of thicknesses, mostly 1/8" or 1/4" deep and anywhere from 1/8"-3/4" wide. Ordering more right now!

I ordered this product for a school project where i had to build a prototype for an engineering class. This bag contains 11 inch lengths of wood ranging from squares to flat pieces. It is strong wood and would recommend it if you are looking for a small set of balsa wood for a project of anything else.

Kind of hard to mistake what this product is, but it can be difficult to judge the size. From looking at the picture I estimated the stick sizes to be about the size of wooden chop sticks. However once the pack arrived they were probably twice that size and too big for what my son needed. The discription states that the contents vary in size and shape so you are sort of on your own to judge if the pack is what you need. In this case going to a local art store would have been better. Other than that, I find no serious fault with the product.

Let me First say.... the product quality is very good and fairly priced. The problem i experienced was that the online product pictured (and description) did not = what was delivered. All lettering, pictures, and descriptions on the package i received matched the same package of the product I had bought in a Joann's Fabric store 2 months earlier....but the contents inside were of different size, and unusable for my project. Hoping i am able to navigate throught this to get what i need.... Really like their craft wood product quality !

Works great for my dollhouse windowsills and base boards. Used a small section to replace a broken leg on a piece of dollhouse furniture. It works great. Many uses.

LIKED THE SELECTION AND THE LENGTH OF STRIPS. WOULD HAVE LIKED SELCETION BETTER IF SOME OF THE STRIPS WERE WIDER IN BOTH THE BASSWOOD AND BALSAWOOD.

Pre-cut woods that we can just easily cut it again with an X-acto knife for measure and strong enough to holds few pounds when my son build a bridge out of all these.
