Will these work on a MP3 player?

Yes. Only if they have a 3.5mm audio jack.

Are they over-ear or on-ear headphones ?

I won't argue with those who say that they're "on ear", but the ear pieces are considerably larger than those of my Urbanears, which I feel really are "on ear". I found that they made my ears feel hot, and returned them. Sounded good, though, and look nice.

Is this kids headphones?
