iPad Mini 5 (2019)/4

I found this screen protector a superb fit and easy to apply.

Nice quality and easy to fit, used several of these and like the way they are packaged, essential to ensure the screen is spotless, even if you think it is it may not be. The screen wipe and cloth are good for girly hands, I find them too small and fiddly, but that is just me, easy to get oils from your hands onto the part of the wipe and cloth that contacts the screen, then you wonder why there is a bubble, so I prefer to use my own cloths and isopropanol. A dab hand with the squeegee and never get bubbles

I was sceptical about these screen protectors, because I thought they would be really thick and so I didn't really see the value compared to a regular film screen protector, but BOY was I wrong. I took off one star because of a couple of little things which I highlight below, but overall I am really happy with this product. Placement on tablet This is a great product, it was really easy to handle, because it is a solid piece you are trying to stick on your screen not a flimsy film that goes everywhere and the instruction were clear as day. It comes with two stickers that are supossed to help you putting the protector on, but I found that mine werent strong enough, so they kept coming loose off the protector.. so I didn't have much use for those, however it was still really easy to adhere, because again, it is a solid protector, so easy enough to hold on to by the sides. Finally, It was super satifying to place it on top and be left with NO. BUBBLES. NONE. That was just great and already enough reason for me to recommend this product. Protector itself The protector was a lot thinner than I expected an feels really 'smooth' on the surface of your tablet. That might sound weird, but thats truly how it feels. The thickness does not in any way influence the clearity of your screen. The only time you can notice the thickness of the product is when you use the fingerprintscan. It doesn't affect the quality of the fingerprintscan, but you can just feel how thick the protector is because your sliding your finger across the edges onto the scanner. There is a little hole in the protector for the camera. However, I have one of those camera guards and the adhesive on those does not permanently stick onto this protector. It will not fall off, but there is just some wiggle room. Finally, it is perfectly made for the Ipad mini 4 with no indication that this is made with universal use in mind. So the seal on the protector is really tight to the ipad itself. This also made placement of the protector easier in my opinion, because there was not alot of wiggle room to place the protector on skewed. I have been using it for a week now and I am very pleased with it. No scraches, so happy me:) No fingerprint - NAH Yeah, so I didn't have high hopes for this claim anyways, but given that it is stated by the manufacterer I will review this as a false claim. So in the product description it mentioned that it wouldn't leave any fingerprints on the screen. To be fair, the amount of smudges left on the screen after a day of regular use is indeed less than with a regular protector, it is not 0. So if you are interested in this product, just because you dont want to see any smudges on your screen when you are working with you tabled, this is not for you. However, if you think this is just a nice bonus to a otherwise great screen protector, then I would recommend.

Easy to apply

It’s very good an easy to put on… the guide it comes with is brilliant. Never seen one before and it works perfectly

I don't normally bother writing reviews for my purchases but I'm so impressed by this screen protector that I thought I would this time. I've bought and applied many different screen protectors of different kinds for various devices over the years and found that this one has gone on the best. Absolutely no bubbles!! I was very nervous because of the size of the screen (12.9 inches) that I would have difficulty but it went on perfectly at the first try. It comes in a very sturdy box with a cloth for cleaning, a blue sticky sheet for removing dust (which was perhaps a bit smaller than I would have liked but I can't complain about the results) and a couple of sticky tabs to help you align it. The protector itself is an absolutely perfect fit from edge to edge (barely a quarter of a millimetre smaller than the original screen) and around the home button and with about 0.5 to 1mm clearance round the front camera. For this reason it is important to get it lined up right and to do this I ignored the instructions (which say to put the tabs in opposite corners and lower the whole thing down onto the screen in one go). Instead, after cleaning the screen, I lined up the protector, with the protective backing film still on, and stuck tape onto the front of the protector that wrapped round the long side of the iPad and round to the back of the iPad to make a kind of hinge at the top and bottom of the long edge (making sure the tape was pulled quite tight). I used the two sticky tabs supplied to stick on the opposite edge to use as handles. I lifted the protector out of the way and used the blue sticker to remove any dust on the iPad screen. Holding the protector by the tab handles I peeled off the protective backing (trying to keep the underside facing downwards as much as possible to avoid dust falling onto it) and used the tab handles to lower the protector into place while pulling to keep the sticky tape hinges tight to keep everything aligned. The result was perfect! Before I applied the protector the iPad screen tended to be a complete fingerprint magnet and a constant smeary mess. But the protector is absolutely brilliant. I've been using it for a few days now and haven't cleaned it once but I can hardly see any fingerprints. The clarity and sensitivity seem great too. I would thoroughly recommend this product.

Excellent product

I don’t often write reviews and even then, when I do, it’s often to provide negative feedback - which is a shame. So on this occasion I thought I’d share a positive one! I purchased this JetTech Glass Protector for my new iPad Pro 10.5; initially hoping to buy the double pack which is on Amazon for just £1 more. Alas, there were no 2-packs in stock and I would’ve had to wait. Being impatient to use my tablet I figured I’d risk the single pack. The double pack is obviously the better value and would’ve afforded a “second chance” had I screwed up applying the first one or further down the line damaged this one - anyway that was not to be! So after ordering the single it arrived promptly on the Thursday and I set about fitting it on Friday morning. First thing of note is the screen protector comes in a solid box the size of an A4 sheet of paper but about 1.5cm thick. It’s pretty sturdy too - which it needs to be as most couriers usually force such things through your letterbox. Not the case this time though as my courier, with his telepathic powers, figured this was a low value item and stuck it by the back door :) Inside the box you get a couple of stickers or tabs to apply on the protector to aid positioning on the tablet, a larger fluff and dust removal sticker, a wet wipe, polishing cloth, screen protector and instructions. The instructions are mostly a simple set of illustrations but they’re easy enough to follow. Now digressing a little I chose JetTech over other brands not specifically because of price but that of reliability. I’ve used their glass protectors before and the result afterwards was an almost perfect fitment with perhaps one or two dust particles that snuck in at the last minute - swines! We also use this brand at work for company ipads and iphones and again results are usually pretty bang on. I recently purchased a JetTech protector for my S7 Edge phone but this was the plastic film and it went horribly wrong - so I can’t unfortunately recommend those. Anyway so I cleaned the iPad screen up first using my own cloth before then using the provided wipes. Screen now spotless (for a matter of seconds anyway) I got out the screen protector and applied the positioning stickers. Started to peel the backing off the screen protector and then noticed a gathering of dust particles on the screen already. Sadly I don’t have a dust free room so I got out the dust removal sticker and picked up any new particles before quickly attaching the protector to the top of the screen with the tape then peeling the backing off. I started ok but noticed I was ever so slightly on the wonk. So I carefully lifted the protector back up, repositioned and continued to push back down and tape the bottom right corner to the tablet. So far so good! No obvious particles and the bubbles were easily rubbed out at the bottom of the screen. Only issue was what looked to be a smudge by the fingerprint sensor area that just wouldn’t rub off. Figured I’d somehow touched it on the inside with my finger so I’d expected to live with it. Turns out I don’t have to live with it as I noticed this morning that it’s completely gone. So I have what appears to be my first ever perfect fit first time with zero issues! I haven’t got the case yet so I can’t comment on use of the magnetic cover sleep / wake function which I see some folks have complained doesn’t work with other protectors but this being my own 3rd time using the JetTech glass with such cases I’m not expecting a problem. I can confirm it’s great to type on. Better than typing on the screen without a protector as there’s less impact and if anything a slight bounce with your finger when typing - this whole review has been written on it! I’d definitely purchase another - just wish I’d got the two pack though as I’m a clumsy so and so at the best of times :) *Update* My case arrived yesterday and I’ve been using it for about a day now with no issues. The magnetic lock function works fine with this screen protector. Definitely deserves the 5 stars!
