Chieftec Compact Series IX-01B - ultra small form factor - mini ITX

Really impressed with this little case. Well laid out and better quality than I expected for the low price. Can't imagine anything smaller and it fits out of sight on a diy bracket attached to the vesa mount behind a 21.5" monitor.

Bought this to house a thin itx board, in fact it the second one I have purchased. Case feels nice and sturdy unlike others I have bought in the past. Slots for additional cooling fans if required.

Impressively solid for the price. The 2 x 2.5" bracket fits above the motherboard; remove this (use an M.2 ssd instead) and you can just about fit a low profile (<40mm) CPU cooler in. Plenty of airflow as well. Unfortunately one of the motherboard risers was misaligned (managed to fix this with some pliers), which was the only indicator of it's low price point. Note: DC power is the best option for this case. I used a pico PSU with an AC-DC adapter for my build.

Not a bad case, nice and small with good build quality apart from some of the screw hole threads are a bit dodgy. The holes for the internal fan mounts didn't appear to have threads but I managed to screw the screws in ok, maybe the threads were covered in paint. Does not come with a power supply and the official one from Chieftec is rather pricey at about £45, so I bought a pico power supply which works well. I also bought the add on lid for fitting a dvd drive (slimline) for £20 which allows either a Dvd drive or a 3.5" drive to be fitted, again the screw holes at the rear were missaligned and had to force the holes to match up. I wouldn't buy another.

It's cheap and small. Has lots of small holes for cooling/letting dust in. I fitted mine with an SSD. Happy.

Well built and robust would buy again if I needed a micro case. To others reading i'd nake sure you have slim/short sata cables etc to make you build tidy/best air flow.

A great case for passively cooled ITX boards. Be aware that it doesn't come with a power supply board so you need to source one from elsewhere.

Für mich: Der klare Testsieger - ich habe hier einige "kleine" Cases vorliegen Warum? Preis/Leistung (28,- Stand Juni 2021) - für das was man bekommt: Jau; paßt Keine unnütze Platzverschwendung; stabiles Case und !!!!! als einziger (der mir bisher untergekommenen Cases dieser "Art") mit abnehmbarer unteren Blende; d.h. ich kann endlich boards verwenden wo die die M2 - Platten (Kaugummistreifen) unten am Board sind; ohne nen Build zerlegen zu müssen Das ist das erste fette Plus; Das zweite: In der Frontblende kann ich Stromwandler unterbringen; falls ich kein Pico einsetzen kann/will Drittes Plus; Grad für diejenigen, die eher ihren ersten "Kleinen" basteln; Man hat in der Festplattenbrücke div. Bohrungen, die , je nach Plattenart, gekennzeichnet sind, sohin ich mir leichter tu; wohin welche Platte gehört; nebst der Illustration im Booklet Zur Lüftersituation; Ich habe im vorderen Bereich 2 Aufhängungen für die Halterung, und hinten; es liegen jedoch nur 2 Halterungen bei Da gibt es in den anderen Rezessionen doch Kritik; dazu kann ich nichts sagen; da ich Lüfterlos unterwegs bin; allerdings ein Testbuild mit "beilagscheiben" (Gummis) stand sich nicht mit dem Board im Weg; und ging sich mit den Schrauben aus - aber das war ein offline-betrieb, nur um zu testen; wie die Platzverhältnisse sind Fazit: Für meine Builds -primär passiv/J-Serie- (Zuspieler auf den Monitor; da ich keinen Fernseher habe; und mir ein ITX mehr Möglichkeiten bietet, als ein RaspBerry; vor allem Preislich letztendlich günstiger kommt) ein simples, kleines, wertiges, stabiles Case mit dem man -siehe Fotos der anderen User- einiges anstellen kann, das seinem Preis -imho- mehr als gerecht wird

mi è piaciuto il fatto che sia arrivato in anticipo di un giorno e che il prodotto sia: solido, maneggevole e compatto ha due alloggi disco 2"5 ci ho montato un mini itix con alimentatore pico-psu ho aggiunto una ventolina dato che la cpu intel I5 che ho non è tra quelle a basso consumo unica attenzione da fare è la dimensine del cpu fan che potrebbe essere troppo alta acquisto consigliato

Caja perfecta para el uso que yo quería: tengo montado XPENology en una placa ITX con 2 discos de 1Tb de 2,5". Muy ventilada, ya que tiene muchos orificios por todas sus caras, tamaño justo el necesario, construcción solida (no es la típica chapa que se dobla con mirarla de otras cajas), preparada para instalar antenas WiFi y con una bolsita con tornillos e instrucciones. No incluye fuente de alimentación pero en mi caso no era necesaria. No le encuentro ningún pero, quizás el precio podría ser algo inferior, pero como he dicho los materiales son buenos y resistentes.

Ce boîtier est une merveille, et hyper solide. Presque 2mm d'épaisseur de métal, coulissement parfait des plateaux, de la place pour une alim pico interne (160W), deux barrettes G.Skill RIPJAWS X 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC 12800-1600- CL9 pourtant assez hautes mais ça rentre au poil ! Et il restait encore de la place pour un watercooling Cooler Master Seidon 120M dont la pompe rentre parfaitement, avec les deux tuyaux sortant par le bouclier arrière après avoir fait l'encoche nécessaire, et le radiateur/ventilo monté en sandwich à l'extérieur sur un plateau (les trous de fixation tombent pile dans le grillage hyper solide). Résultat, un vrai bijou à 34°C en idle et presque 50°C en charge avec un Intel Core i7-4770K. Je ferai des photos quand j'aurai récupéré mon smartphone.

Compré esta caja porque me quería montar un mini pc, que ya está montado y en marcha, la caja sin problemas, me ha entrado todo bien, justo pero bien, funciona todo correctamente se ve de buena calidad, el procesador AMD AM1 Athlon 5350 entra bien, lo único que no le monté la pieza dónde se pone el disco duro para que me entrará más aire, ya que esta pieza queda justo encima del ventilador del disipador y no me convencía para una buena refrigeración, cogí el disco (un hdd de 2,5") y con unos tornillos lo he anclé en un lateral donde hay hueco y de esa manera no he necesitado dicha pieza y el mini pc tiene una ventilación mejor. Funcionando correctamente desde hace casi dos meses. (con un disco de 3,5" jo no creo que se pueda poner la parte superior de la caja para cerrarla con sus tornillos. Recomendable con los artículos que yo he montado. (placa base Asrock Am1h-itx, Caja Chieftec Ix-01b-op, procesador amd am1 Athlon 5350, memoria ram HyperX Fury de 4 GB y adaptador corriente TomEasy 65W. Espero que mi opinión os sirva.
