NEOTECH Soft Sax Sling,1901162, Black

Ideal for me.

This brand came highly recommended. Super comfortable for throwing a baritone sax round my neck. I have no hesitation in also recommending this strap. Brilliant.

I have an alto and a recently acquired Yamaha tenor, but mostly play the tenor, and have restarted playing after a long time away. I bought one of the regular size Neotech Soft Slings with the plastic open hook years ago and have been using it since I restarted. I am a 'normal' size man and found my old Soft Sling comfortable and the adjustment was just right at the lowest setting for my tenor but a bit too low for my alto at the highest setting I could get, but not so it stopped me using it. Nonetheless I recently decided to replace it after many hours of use of use since the hook was wearing and the neck strap and the elastic webbing behind it had stretched. However when the exact replacement arrived I found it was too short to play the tenor comfortably, since the mouthpiece would be too high at the lowest strap setting. I didn't try the alto although I am sure it would have been fine. In other words my old strap, compared to a new one, had enough stretch in it to let the saxes sit lower. Therefore, given that, my recommendation to adult tenor players is to try this strap before you buy (but see UPDATE), since it might not be suitable, but if it fits, you will find comfortable to wear and durable, as will adult alto players. Anyway sadly I have had to return mine. UPDATE: Having returned the Regular sling I have subsequently bought the Neotech X Long Soft Sax Sling, which is exactly the same as the Regular Sling except the straps are longer, and found it it ideal for me and my tenor sax. The sling adjustment is about the middle of the range. So if you are a TENOR sax player I recommend you first try the X Long version of this sling not the Regular featured here.

Really good product. Much more comfortable on the neck than the one that came with the sax

These neck straps are brilliant. I have 3 now in different colours. They are extremely comfortable to wear and no chafing or strain points on your neck. They are lightweight as well which is perfect as you don't want extra weight on your neck as well as the weight of a saxophone.

Flimsy plastic hook and not long enough for Tenor Sax

I have been using the neck strap which came with my saxophone for quite some time, my tutor then lent me his Neotech strap to try and I was instantly converted. One thing to note is that this does take some time to wear in and become comfortable, for the first few wears the padding is still quite hard and the difference in comfort isn't that noticeable but after wearing it for a few hours you can really tell the difference. With my previous strap I would have to rest my saxophone on something while I made the adjustments to the strap length, with this it is really easy.

The first one held up so well that I didn’t hesitate to buy it again. Definitely a reliable product, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a sturdy and comfortable neck strap.

I bought this for my Conn 10M non Vintage version and it was too short. It does fit my friends, vintage "Naked Lady" 10M however. I was going to return it but it does fit my Alto and is a nicer strap the the one I was using for it so I am going to keep it for my Alto. I like the Neotech products. I have a Neotech strap for one of my basses too!
