So much for so little. Game changer!
Ok Drummers! Read this, this unit has changed my life. I have had all sorts of monitors but came across this £18 wow! I have a mic from my bass drum going into this then out to the PA I then have a line I. From the the PA what I get is a complete mix through my headphones I use the ones I got with my I phone but bought an extension cable just to give more room to move. They work perfectly I get the mix from the PA which I have a volume control for and I get my kick drum which I can also control from that's volume. Live it is amazing I have a perfect mix of everything in my ears the headphones dull the rest of the drums and cymbals but it makes you play better IMO and when the gig has finished no ringing ears it's amazing and hearing the kick drum cut through the mix so well makes you play tighter. Don't mess around buy it it's £18 you get the power control all you need is a jack for the mixer and 2 mic leads our keyboard player has one and does the same with his vocals so he can control the volume of his singing also having a perfect mix of what's going out front. EPIC!

A useful, compact and well made device at a sensible price.
I use a modified XLR to stereo jack where I cut the negative signal and link the positive signal to the second ring. I attach this to a send return output on a Behringer S16 digital snake. I plug this into the line input and use it as a headphone amplifier for wired IEM. I actually have a XLR male to stereo jack cable that is terminated at the performer end with a Behringer PM1 belt pack. This works perfectly and offers the option of looping in the mic (this will be useful when I run out of mixed foldback channels for large groups of vocalists).

solid and easy to use
works well. I’m trying a few ways to hear myself better when playing bass on stage. it’s a small setup but the other band members have very loud and clear amps. my sound is getting lost. i’m trying headphone amp and also angling my amps. however, back to this amp. Good and solid. Works well. I haven’t tried running a mic at same time but it should work well enough too. The fact it’s powered makes it a bit more meaty than a battery one. compared with other headphone amps, this is a much better bet for my needs. Recommend you get and try.

Amazing little unit for building a low cost 'in-ear' monitoring system
Amazing little unit for building a low cost, wired, 'in-ear' monitoring system. I have tried the Behringer P1 beltpack unit, which I liked, but it's probably best suited for solo, duo or trio performance where the volume levels are not too high. The MA400 is powered and provides better monitoring volume for bigger bands generating higher volume. I play in the horn section of a nine-piece band and we make a noise. The P1 volume level was marginal; This unit has plenty headroom and all eight instrumentalists are now using it. The singer gets a wireless pack so she can move around the stage. Why 4 stars? My only criticism is that this brilliant, lightweight little unit has no mounting options built into it. I've cobbled together a way to fix it to mic and music stands but it's fiddly and less than ideal. A simple tripod screw in the base would make it much easier to set-up. Still great value and good quality, though. Be aware that if you are building an 'in-ear' monitoring system you have five cables attached to this tiny unit - 1 x psu, 2 x XLR, 1 x 1/4" Jack mix return, 1 x mini-jack headphone extension lead. It works a treat but there is a substantial cost in purchasing all the cables required. In our case, I use the Behringer MS8000 splitter to distribute one 'foldback mix' feed from the desk to the eight musicians. Well worth the investment to reduce stage clutter and simplify the setup.

⭐️Compact and reliable⭐️
This is small but powerful. Easy to set up, gives clear sound, and drives multiple headphones without distortion. Perfect for practice or small studio use. Good value for the price.

OK but subject to distortion
well made, solid, low noise, and flexible. However there are occasions when distortion creeps and makes it unreliable. The headroom is insufficient.

Solid value product.
Great little unit, well made and good value (as are most Behringer products) As another reviewer has commented some sort of mounting holes or brackets would be very usefu, never the less, very pleased.. K.Farley. West Wales.

Excellent!
Does exactly what I wanted it to do. I use it with an instrument microphone when practicing the flute. Lets you hear what the audience hears so you can correct flaws in your performance. I also put a reverb pedal between the mic and amp so it sounds like I'm in a concert hall. Great sound and very portable. External power source means no batteries to change. I would recommend this for every level from beginner to professional players.
