Manic Panic High Voltage® Classic Cream Formula Colour Hair Dye 118ml (Vampire® Red)

I love this dye! The color comes out as a gorgeous deep red and looks super vibrant, especially on lighter hair. It’s easy to apply, smells fine, and leaves my hair feeling soft. The only downside is that it fades pretty quickly and can stain, but honestly, it’s worth it for how bold and pretty the color is.

My go to hair colour for about 2 years now. Vibrant and lasting (when using cooler water). Can be mixed with conditioner to stretch out amount further. I have quite thick, waist lenght hair and can use two bottles when mixed with conditioner. However, will stain items within seconds of touching (handy to keep a cleaning spray on hand when applying). Definitely wear gloves. Will leak for quite a long time. Does deposit colour onto towels and pillows, but comes out on a hot wash.

i’ve used this for years and although it is a beautiful, vibrant colour and leaves my hair super soft and healthy it just STAINS EVERYTHING. it bleeds in the rain, it ruins bathroom walls and guest towels when i stay somewhere, just a nightmare. but if that doesn’t bother you then this is the best colour!

So, I’ve cherry coke hair. . Which ultimately fades. Heard good things about this & my hairdresser recommended it. I love it! I used to tone my hair as it was starting to look “washed out”. I wore gloves, it stained the wall & my skirting boards, so be careful on anything not wipe-able. Came off the shower/bath/tiles no bother. My hair is vibrant & bright. It’s lasted weeks! , rather than days like my other L’Oréal one, when I had copper hair. Would recommend. Found it hard to get clear water after toning & it did stain my pillowcases, but it came out in the wash. . & I’d still recommend it & will continue to use it. It’s worth it.

Be warned, this stuff very red and stains absolutely everything and is difficult to remove if not treated immediately! We put dust sheets on the floor, foil around the kitchen sink and a bin liner with hole in in the actual sink! Yes for real! Advice from TikTok user and it works a treat! It ruined several towels and the smallest speck stained the wooden work surface! If you don’t do the Prep and take precautions you might regret it. That being said the colour is vibrant on my daughter’s dark hair and hair looks lovely, shiny and healthy. Good coverage for medium length hair , I would say if you have long hair buy two to be on the safe side otherwise you might not get even tones. Please do skin patch test !!!!

I am obsessed, I bleached my hair and applied the red was really unsure but my god I am obsessed already got next order ready 😂 this stuff stains like crazy, I washed it off in the sink, it splashed onto my wooden chopping board and it’s now stained pink 😂 also hard to get off the skin so use Vaseline. P.S my hair feeling amazing for saying it’s been bleached and dyed

This is a truly awful product. When I showered it off it looked like a scene from Psycho! The water never ran clean even after half an hour of rinsing. It stayed in my hair for so long. Eventually when it had nearly gone (after many months) I had my hair bleached. The bleach just brought the colour back to the surface again. I am now having my hair bleached again, 6 months after using the product and it’s still bringing the colour out again. It’s dreadful.

Great product, does the job! A little bit on the runny consistency. I’d recommend 2 packs for medium hair.

Très jolie couleur, elle tient assez bien (en général je la refais tous les 1 mois 1/2 et un pot me fait deux usages sur cheveux mi-long).

So my hair color is light brunette with the occasional blonde highlight. I have wanted to dye my hair red for the last ten years, and with quarantine, I was like - screw it - it's time to take the plunge. I went with manic panic Vampire Red because I didn't want it to be permanent, but I also wanted a pretty intense red. Here is what I learned. By the way, keep in mind that I diluted the manic panic with conditioner, so your results may be COMPLETELY different if you just use the dye with no dilution. Positives: 1. Easy application I honestly know nothing about dying hair, and it turned out amazing regardless. 2. NO BLEACH NEEDED!! (see before and after picture) Look, obviously if you want that red to match the color on the container, you're gonna have to bleach your hair. But it looks awesome without it too, which I can't say about all hair dyes! 3. It didn't destroy my hair! Actually, my hair felt amazing after application. Not to mention I have thin, delicate hair that I'm deathly paranoid of damaging (for fear that I might lose what I have!). 4. The dye smells awesome! AND it's vegan! Negatives: 1. It bleeds. Everywhere. I'm lucky that my towels and sheets are all dark because HOLY MOLY this thing bleeds for weeks after the initial dye job. Even when I got sweaty during exercise, some of the droplets were pinkish red! I don't even want to imagine what would happen if I got in a chlorinated pool! I mean, I expected as much because it's semi-permanent, but man. It's stubborn to get off surfaces, and it never did come out of my one set of light colored sheets. Make sure you have some bleach and a magic eraser handy, because I would have stained everything I loved if I wasn't careful. 2. It has pink undertones, which can make it fade strangely. Now this may not actually be a negative for you, but it was for me since I wanted browner undertones. To each their own though. Overall, this was a cheap and fantastic choice. I would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who is curious!
