Soldering Iron Station Hot Air Gun 3in1 SMD Rework Solder Desoldering Station 853D, Black

I bought this YiHua 853D Soldering Iron Station a few weeks ago and I used it to desolder and solder SMD components from resistors to laptop KBCs (which are very difficult to solder, given that their size is 0.555 inches and they have 128 pins on four sides, really close to eachother). It is a good thing that it comes with different soldering tips in various sizes that are of good quality and from my point of view it covers all the basic needs for soldering all types of SMD components. Both the hot air gun and the soldering iron reach the set temerature very fast and are able to maintain it very well during the entire soldering process. Also, the hot air gun cools on its own when placed in its holder, which means that it saves energy and prolongs the life span of the component. Another great thing that makes this rework station special is that it has an adjustable DC power supply with current protection. This source is very useful because you can power the component you are working on directly on the station. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product but it is important to keep in mind that the skills of the person using the station are vital in order to avoid accidents.

For this price, this station is a must have tool. Comes very well packed, solid structure. I only can complain about soldering iron itself, it's not performing really great, yes connector and silicon wire are great, but perfoms worse than a regular cheap soldering iron, this is my personal opinion, other than that is really great, hot air gun is very good, ran it at highest temps, works great and handle doesn't melt, you have to keep it in hands when working, not on table or elsewhere, when job is done put it in the docking station and it will automatically cooldown without any issues. I am a beginner in soldering microchips, replaced some very easily and everything works great. I would spend same amount of money if I'd buy new boards that got repaired (octopus), buying and programing a chip is very cheap, and in addition I have a soldering station that will be ready to help me in my future projects. Highly recommended!

Extremely upset with the quality of the product, I knew before buying these seeme to be hit a miss, but I wasn’t expecting to receive and as soon as I took out the box I could here the rattling. I thought maybe a loose cable. When I took the lid off I found that part of the front frame bent which may explain the damaged part but I can’t understand why. As other have stated they also seen problems and as mentioned before I knew this before buying but for every 2/10 going wrong I’d thought I’d give it a go. I’m now in a stick weather to keep it and try fixing it or just send it back UPDATE 1/1/19 Had this on the bench now for a good few months and after the initial taking it apart it’s proved to be a good product. I would recommend it however after an initial tear down to ensure the appliance is earthed correctly!

This product arrived faulty. The soldering iron works and the hot air works. The power supply is intermittent at best. Most of the time I cannot get any voltage to display on the screen. Not working as described and not fit for purpose. I rarely give any negative reviews but this one deserves it. It appears there was no quality control used before this left the factory.

Got this to replace a station that i have had for years that sadly the hot-air only works with maximum air volume which makes it useless for smd work (talking 0805 / 1206 size components). Upon boxing, the product itself looks fine with regards quality, appears well made (has a metal chassis not plastic like other people had). Was very well packaged as well. Unfortunately on first use of the hot air, it worked for a few seconds then stopped with an F1 error. Online checking doesn't bring much up, however what info is there points to it being an issue with the fan which is in the nozzle itself (my old model has an air pump in the main chassis). Have arranged a return and when that turns up I will update this review. Edit - update got the replacement unit and used for a number of months and pleased to say no issues. with it so i have updated the score. The power supply injector is a very good feature as I solder a lot of leds so I can test then on the circuit board before reassembly.

Brilliant and it still works months later

Love this little work station,feels surprisingly sturdy and well built. Hot air and iron get up to temperature surprisingly quickly,the additional power supply is a bonus I use far more than I expected and would be lost without it now. Good variety of nozzles for the hot air and more iron tips than you could ever need.also like the retro asstetic.

I've been putting off buying a hot air station for years now, i don't do a lot of SMD stuff so it never seemed very necessary. Was i wrong! Finally caved and bought this despite its poor reviews, figured i would return it if their warnings came true. Think i was lucky and got a unit that doesn't have any issues, but so far i'm very happy with it, there's nothing i can really fault with its construction. I'm not a fan of digital inputs, but they work perfectly ok. Holding the +/- buttons puts them in a "fast" mode so you can fairly quickly get to the temperature you want. I haven't used the integrated power supply much yet, but it certainly works and my meters agree to +/- 0.01v. Iron is nice to use and the silicone cables are very flexible, even in the cold, plenty of tips provided for both the heat gun and iron. Downsides: The main power switch is on the back, which is hard to get to if you're in the habit of switching stuff off for the night. The PWM frequency on the heatgun is something like 10hz, which with a 700W draw means you can see your lights flicker very slightly when it's running (this is probably more to do with the old wiring in my workshop to be honest...)

Finally, got to use the soldering iron and...... broken. Soldering iron does not heat up, temperature is at 0.

Great product for the price, I recommend it for simple usage at home as it has good quality and it’s quite simple to use. Arrived on time and very well packaged.

Mi serviva una nuova stazione saldate ma non volevo spendere una somma eccessiva, così ho acquistato questo prodotto e ne sono rimasto soddisfatto. La stazione si presenta di buona qualità, la regolazione è molto precisa sia quello ad aria e sia quello normale. Il filo ignifugo è molto comodo, non so quanti fili ho bruciato per sbaglio mentre ero concentrato a fare saldature complesse ma ora ho risolto il problema. Dentro la confezione ti danno anche varie punte, sia per il saldatore a stilo e sia per quello ad aria. Le punte per il saldatore a stilo sono davvero di ottima qualità, le ho usate davvero tanto e sono ancora in "ottime" condizioni. Mentre quelle per la pistola ad aria sono si di ottima qualità ma sono poche, mancano quelle con il foro molto piccolo ma nulla di grave, ho comprato l'intero kit per quel tipo di pistola. Avrò fatto già un centinaio di saldature di cui alcune molto complesse come i componenti smd (resistenza, condesatori ecc) e non mi ha mai deluso. Molto comodo anche il tester, si può usare sia in uscita che in entrare, in altre parole può sia fornire corrente (max 15 volt) e sia testarla (max 15 volt), inoltre legge anche gli Ampere (max 1). Per finire, ho controllato se sono disponibili ricambi in caso di rottura e ci sono tutti. Consiglio davvero l'acquisto per chi è in cerca di una stazione saldate senza spendere troppi soldi.

Arrivata entro la data indicata. Amazon x packaging e x tempi di spedizione è impeccabile. ( come al solito).il prodotto mi ha fatto una ottima impressione. È un 3 in 1: saldatore aria calda con regolatori di temperatura e velocità del soffiatore distinti e l indicatore digitale di temperatura. Ci sono 4 ugelli con sezioni diverse. Saldatore classico da 60 W con 12 differenti punte intercambiabili, temperatura regolabile e indicatore digitale della stessa. Infine c’è un piccolo alimentatore max 15 V regolabile con max 1 A. Utile x alimentare i circuiti elettronici; lo strumento analogico indica la corrente quello digitale la tensione. (Possibile, con i puntali forniti e il selettore, usarlo come tester). X ora ho usato solo il saldatore classico con punta da 0.5 mm (credo) tem 350 C x saldare diodi SMD. Tempo di raggiungimento temperatura molto breve. Ottima saldatura! Con temperatura costante che evita quelle fredde. Quando userò il soffiatore ad aria calda aggiornerò. Lo ritengo un buon prodotto. Ottimo se proporzionato al prezzo.
