This applies to items which state 'dispatched from and sold by Amazon', not to other online retailers who use the Amazon platform. This distinction isn't obvious from the way Amazon presents products on its website. Other online retailers may sell genuine Eltamd products but there is no authenticity guarantee and no real way a customer can check either. One thing to consider; there is sometimes a significant price difference between retailers. For example, at the time of writing this answer, an unauthorised retailer is selling a different Eltamd product for around Β£33 where as the official Amazon option for the same product is Β£48. Given UK customs duties, international postage costs, business overheads etc, it's difficult to see how a business could sell a genuine product legitimately and make a profit (the Eltamd website currently sells this product at Β£33 before taxes and international p&p). I recently purchased an Eltamd product from an unofficial online retailer on Amazon. The product I received seemed to be genuine at first but its performance over three months is neither here nor there to be honest.
