Bought this because it was supposed to be a mattress topper, I expressly asked if it was a topper. IT IS NOT A MATTRESS TOPPER, at best it is a mattress pad, it is not cooling although I didn’t buy it for that, it is a sheet with a very thin bit of padding, literally mm’s. If you want a comfortable mattress topper don’t buy this.

They don't tell you on the page how deep the cover itselfis. I don't believe they have 13,000 reviews either

I overheat easily at night, and it's been dramatically better since we got this! I actually put a blanket on the bed! It adds a little quilting to the mattress as well, but if you're looking for a topper to make a hard mattress more comfortable, you probably want something thicker than this. I'm going to purchase a 5cm topper for mattress comfort and put this on top of it. Hopefully the combination will work well.

This is a nice mattress pad but it’s not thick enough for me and it didn’t keep me cool enough. The quality is great and the blue was beautiful but not for me.

The topper fits the queen mattress well and does not shift during sleep or changing sheets. It is comfortable and we do believe that it is cooler than the pad that we replaced. Keep the cooling thing in perspective: it's not actively cooling like a ventilated car seat, but the material does seem to disperse heat or somehow keep us cooler. Glad we bought it and do recommend it.

My bed the way it is hurts my back so I got this "fluffy" mattress cover to try to help make my mattress a little bit more comfortable. I have bought multiple mattress toppers with memory foam, down alternative, you name it. None of them have helped my bed feel any more comfortable. I wanted 100% cotton but everyone that I invested in didn't do squat to help me. I decided to give this one a try even though it's polyester. After all my sheets that cover it are an amazing Egyptian cotton so I decided to just go with the cheaper polyester mattress topper to see what happens. Well last night I slept very well. I was extremely comfortable and my back did not hurt when I woke up. I used a memory foam bed topper and then I put this mattress topper on top of that. The topper is plenty deep to cover my entire mattress and it's about 14 in deep with the memory foam. It stayed in place all night long and I slept like a charm. It does not have a cooling effect that I noticed and it is not extremely fluffy but it did help me to sleep more comfortably and I did not wake up with back pain. If you're looking for something extremely fluffy this is it. If you're looking for something to give your bed an extra level of comfort, support, and to eliminate back pain this topper seems to cut it. I'm finally satisfied. Sometimes the best quality and more expensive and highly rated item is not where it's at. In my case the cheaper polyester mattress topper did the trick.

I wanted something to protect my new memory foam mattress and to create an extra later on top to increase breathability (memory foam is known for being hot). With my criteria the mattress topper worked well and for the price was good enough value. I would agree though with other reviewers that it doesn't have any unique cooling properties and would be disappointed if I had bought it for this reason. It did also fit well and is comfortable.
