They say use 1 for 375ml, or 2 for 750ml bottles, but how many do I use for 500ml? Will 1 be enough, or 1 and a half?

Following the instructions, I found 1.5 is perfect to have in a 500ml PET bottle.  It gives the same consistent fizz as commercial biottled beer afte aboyut a month to six weeks.   But it's a pain cutting them in half, which I dio with a sharp knife on a wooden board.

how long does it take till the carbonation starts

Carbonation starts almost immediately when the drop is added. It takes about a week before there is noticible fizz and carbonation probably continues for about 3 weeks in typical conditions low temperature will prolong it and High temperature expidite it.

can i use these in a pressure barrel

HelloYes you could use these in a barrel....but i would generally use household sugar for priming a barrel (easier to weigh the recommended amount) The carbonation drops are just sugar lozenges which are a handy size for priming bottles (easy to just drop 1 in and put the cap on)Regards Brad
