UHU textile solvent free fabric glue 19ml

This fabric glue works, used to stick stones and other material onto fabric. As expected.

I used this inside shoes to add a new lining. The material was a very thin sports type material . It did stick it but was quite hard to keep in place while it dried as the consistency of the glue is runny and thin a bit like a PVA The colour was very slightly darker when dry . You couldnt use this for adding an invisible patch on thin material as it would show too much. This one tube was just enough to do the lining in the two pairs. My material was not very thick and absorbent but I would think that had it been so, the glue would not have spread very far. however the area of material it was used for was approximately 8 by 8 inches and I used it liberally. I did stitch the new linging on after the glue dried as some places werent perfectly stuck but this was more about gravity trying to remove my vertical material , where it was able to lie flat while drying , the glue held really well.

Great product, I like to add bling to my clothes. This item does exactly what I need it to do the adhesion is really good. The drying time is really quick so you have to be fast. It dries clear so that’s really good, so items don’t get messy. I do wish the item was a little bigger but great value money. I have no complaints. Don’t hesitate to buy !!!

Didn't impress me at all. Didn't work, stick to needle and cotton

I searched high and low for a glue that would be suitable to stick a crochet appliqué to a cotton t shirt and I couldn’t find anything online that suggested what to use or gave positive feedback. so I brought this on a whim, thinking it would ruin the crocheted piece or ruin the tshirt and it didn’t! I put cardboard inside the tshirt, added plenty of glue on to the tshirt, extra glue on the crocheted piece (especially around the edges) made sure it was spread out well so none of the glue could seep out of the edges, put the crocheted work on top of the tshirt, put grease proof paper on top and put 3 really heavy books on top and left it for 6 hours to set/ dry and it was perfect! My son has worn the tshirt all day at school and the crochet hasn’t peeled away from the tshirt… it’s really robust! I was going to add some stitches around the edge of the appliqué but I don’t even need to. It’s really secure. Now I’m just hoping the black dye from the tshirt doesn’t run in to the white crochet appliqué when I wash it. If you’re a crocheter wanting to attach crochet to cotton T-shirts use this glue! Give yourself extra time for drying and use something heavy to keep it in place.

I bought this item so I could stick googly eyes onto my crochet items. On opening the packet the lid end fell off rendering the lid useless. I was prepared to let that go assuming it had become damaged during transit. During use however I had to squeeze the tube so hard to get the tiniest bit of glue out. My next attempt at squeezing must have dislodged something as the glue then ejaculated all over my workspace, me and my dog. She wasn't impressed and neither was I. The glue doesn't dry clear as I thought it would so my gift crochet items look like they have been made by a 2 year old. I finished my projects and replaced the useless cap. I won't be buying this glue again and my crochet gifts have gone in the bin. By the way the eyes fell off as soon as I moved towards the bin....

I used this glue to repair a split in some waterproof walking boots. The glue dries transparent so the repair was hardly noticeable and as it is flexible the repair held up to many long walks in muddy and wet terrain saving me from having to buy a new pair of boots. The glue itself is easy to use and once it started to set and became tacky, I pinched the material tear together to create a good seal until the glue was fully dried. As I only needed a small amount of glue I store the rest of the tube in the freezer to be able to use at a later date.

I expected instant bonding but didn't happen but with a little pressure applied it sticks well

ho usato questa colla per riparare un indumento cui tenevo molto, con l'applicazione di una toppa, che non si poteva cucire. Ho seguito le istruzioni (su internet perchè la confezione era in lingue dell'Est...) e mi sembra che la soluzione sia funzionale, vedremo nel tempo però.

Ordering and delivery were fine. Product itself dries on fairly transparently which is a big feature and positive. The dispensing nozzle could be smaller since when sticking down smaller areas, there is over-spill and you can see the residue after, albeit not white but still untidy. Does not work on materials containing lycra.

The product is translucent and works on plastic
