price was good when i bought these. Always worth carrying a few spare "top-E" strings as these seem to be the most likely to break.

I've no particular brand loyalty to Ernie Ball strings, I use Rotosounds etc., to me they're just guitar consumables, not objects of desire! That said, they are reliable and, like all the reputable brands, well finished. What these multi-packs help with is making up customised string sets, especially with the larger gauges that very seldom are used to replace broken strings (that's normally 9s and 10s, in my experience). If you're a heavy tremolo user then your whammy bar use will be sawing the strings over saddles at each end and even a well finished bridge saddle and nut slot will eventually break strings (and on the larger gauges it'll be the string windings that give way - which is why I bought 13s too). String manufacturers would love us all to replace string sets every 10 minutes but realistically we make them last as long as we can, and these "spares" come in very handy. The Ernie Ball brand is good and consistent, good enough that cheap strings from China are illegally branded to ride on the Ernie Ball reputation, and I have no reservations about recommending the genuine article.

My son keeps breaking the same string and as Tim Henson is his idol as soon as we heard he uses these that was it. To be honest they sound great and at a fraction of the cost we had been paying.

Ce sont des cordes de qualité ( Ernie Ball of course ) mais 6 Cordes pour presque 17 euros : c'est limite de l'escroquerie. Il faut sacrément en avoir besoin ou comme moi être tombé sur une série défaillante de cordes , achetées quelques semaines avant et toutes cassées à l'installation, incident très rare chez Ernie Ball que je prends régulièrement depuis des années sur mes guitares. Donc oui pour les cordes mais non pour la formules 6 cordes au prix de 3 jeux
