Great find! Highly recommend
Love this product! I usually have quite an oily scalp but this has reduced it. It also gets a decent lather for a shampoo without sulphates. Super impressed.

Really like this shampoo. I am now on my second bottle. I like the smell and it seems to thoroughly clean my hair.

Does what it says.
This was one of the best shampoos I have used. Thickens hair without stripping it, smells nice too. Will be buying again.

Wouldn’t buy again
I still found this product gave me dandruff and made my head itchy. It also didn’t feel clean after washing my hair, it still felt greasy sometimes. The bottle is also difficult to squeeze and product hard to come out - as per other reviews I thought this wasn’t going to be a big deal but it is annoying to deal with as part of your daily routine!

I've had dandruff since I was a teenager and have tried many different shampoos and showering routines and nothing helped. It wasn't until my wife bought this shampoo for me to try that it finally went away in my late 20's. I have dark brown hair and like wearing dark clothes so it was always such an embarassing aspect of my life that I no longer have to worry about. Been using this shampoo for about 6 years now and it still works great (even in the Florida humidity). No dandruff, no itch, leaves my hair feeling soft, and retains my natural curls. My hair is about 2 to 3 inches long and I go through about 1 bottle a year washing once daily, so it requires very little for full scalp coverage. I am impartial to the smell. It doesn't smell unpleasant and isn't very strong once you rinse it out but it's not something I would want made into a sprayable scent. I am also an unscented kind of person with everything I buy so I feel that way about most things with any scent. It just smells like oregano to me. If it keeps the shampoo free of chemicals that aren't needed then it's a fair tradeoff to smell slightly herb-ish.

Background: I've been using various dandruff shampoos for over a year now to try and tame my itchy, oily, uncomfortable and (frankly) ugly scalp issues with limited success. I have chest-length dark wavy hair and the yellowy/white waxy dandruff, bumps and constant itchiness were really doing a number on my self-esteem while the Rx (ketoconazole 2%) and drugstore options (head & shoulders, neutrogena t-sal, selsun blue naturals, nizoral a-d) were doing a number on my hair and helping, but not getting rid of my scalp issues. Even with huge amounts of conditioning even during shampooing, my ends were getting really dry, split and battered from the very harsh shampoo and I wanted to try something without all the detergents. I'd love to be able to dye my hair again without having dandruff shampoos strip the color right back out. Pros of this product: I like that they're very clear what ingredients are for which purpose and the lack of harsh surfactants (detergents), my hair is left very shiny, soft and bouncy after washing and it doesn't seem to mess with my curl pattern or to dry out my ends. The itching is cut down considerably the day of shampooing and well into the day after, which is a huge win for me since even right after shampooing with the very strong Rx shampoo, my head would still be itchy right after the shower. I've seen a decrease in my dandruff and I feel like there might be fewer bumps but I've only been using it for a couple of weeks. Cons: Price is much higher than I'm used to spending for shampoo but my options are limited if I want a dandruff shampoo that I can use once I color my hair. I understand that the ingredients aren't cheap, but do look at the Oz size so you're not surprised by the size of the bottle when it arrives. I'm considering shampooing with another mild, cheap shampoo first and then following with this one to see if I can get the same benefit without using as much product but if that doesn't work then I'll deal with the price since it helps my itchiness and won't strip color. The smell is strong and isn't my taste. It is very earthy, herbal and almost tea-like and I can put up with it since I'm pretty sure it comes with the ingredients and isn't just an added fragrance. It's very strong when you're in the shower and does linger in dry hair more than I'd like. Overall: Worth a shot for those who are tired of the drugstore options and looking for something less harsh but still effective. Awesome for those who like earthy/spicy scents and workable for those who don't. I'll see if it keeps delivering once I dye my hair again but based on my experience so far, I think it's gentle enough that it'll work well and I plan to repurchase when I run out. EDITED TO ADDRESS HAIR DYE COLOR ISSUE 1/10/15: So I bumped this down a star because it is not as color safe as I was hoping it'd be. I dye my brown hair a deep red and although reds are known to fade fast, it definitely strips more color from my hair than a regular sulfate-free shampoo does. Salon color is not cheap and it fading even faster than usual is really not okay with me. Part of the stripping may be due to the fact that the directions have you leave it on your scalp for a while in the shower, but I think even double washing with a very mild shampoo is probably better for my color than using this shampoo. I used a full bottle and was partway into my second bottle when my stylist mentioned that my color was way more faded than it should be if I was using a sulfate-free shampoo. I'm leaving 4 stars because it's a good product otherwise, but proceed with caution or use rarely with dyed hair.
