Can you replace the batteries?

Yes. The front light takes 3 x AAA batteries and the rear light takes 2 x AAA batteries. My set is still going strong on the original batteries but in due course I shall use rechargeable ones.

How bright are these lights?

Not bright enough to light up the entire road, but more than good enough if you're riding at dawn/dusk lighting up all road signs and bollards! You will definitely be seen by all traffic

Would this light suffice to light up your dark country road on a winter cycle or would you recommend a stronger light?

I have found this light very bright and have cycled down unlit paths many times - definitely strong enough in my view

Is this set waterproof? As in will it withstand British weather? (torrential rain, frost and snow)

I live in Ireland so our weather is just as bad and I've no problem, saying that electrics and water don't get on well so.
