these work well, purchased 6 for marshals to use at a motor sport event and can be heard above noisy engines

These are what they are for the price. They have reasonable 'peep' power but they're very cheap and tinny and the lanyard came detached in minutes. As they came in a pack of three, they're good spares to fill your sports bag with but always go for the Acme Thunderer.

The Whistles are Exactly like how they are described
I was pleasantly surprised to get 3 whistles, if I had taken the time to read the information, it does say. The whistles have a circular ball inside, I believe this is referred to as a pea, place between your lips and blow air through, the ball should begin to move and produce the sound of a referee's whistle. My wife for some reason struggles to get a continuous sound, it's not a problem with the whistles, the fault lies with her technique. Very easy to use, no problems in recommending for use

Good value for money.
Does what it is supposed to do. The inside of the mouth piece is just a tiny bit raw so be carful with your tongue (nothing to worry about). Sound level seems good inside, haven’t tried it outside yet, but seem absolutely fine. Three whistles for that price is very good value.
