I was, err, done-over by the plumber half way through the job and no money left over, so I ended up having to consult youtube about the connection of this unit. 'How hard can it be? It's only water' kind of thing. Oh Yes! You can connect one of these yourself with some video help. most of all with the detailed instructions in the box which have pictures of everything. I love my new shower, I love the temperature settings, I love the ease of switching between the two different shower heads and most of all I love that fact that I connected it. An architect client was here recently and used the half- finished bathroom. He admired the quality of the accessories. Hansgrohe and Gerberit. Both of them self-plumbed. So, Yes it's great and you will be glad you did.

Absolutely love this product. German engineering at its best. Easy and quick to fit. Super quality and a great selection of valves to fit.

If you are putting a shower valve in a wall then this is the product you need once its in the wall there is a water proof collar that goes around it and the valve bolt to this, so even if you had a problem with the valve water could only come out side the tiles into the shower and not in the wall, if you are thinking of installing a shower valve then this is the product I would recommend. I fit loads of them each year

I like the idea of a universal assembly that supports a range of showers. It makes good sense. But I don't appreciate a set of instructions which (see image) which refers to ' ... enclosed reductions including plugs ...' when there are no such reducing plugs in the package. The instructions make the point that the connections are designed for warm on the left, and cold on the right. Facing which way? The wall or the shower area? It matters! A lot ! Either change the instructions or mark the valve itself please.

It's easy to use shame that it doesn't come with 4 reducers and not 3 as when buying the forth the quality is not the same due to everything being such a high spec
