My low battery light is flashing after only two weeks use, I only have one cat so limited use of the cat flap any suggestions or is the catflap faulty

Check the two optical sensors in the tunnel at the top near the door (outside) are clear and not obscured by cat hair. Also check that the bottom part of the tunnel where the cats belly goes when it comes in is still clean too. If either of these two are a problem then the unit thinks there's a cat in the tunnel and it switches on the microchip reader which uses a lot of battery. We have a long haired cat and the outer part of the flap near the hinge with the draft excluder needs regular cleaning to stop this happening. Good luck

Hi, i recently bought a staywell four way magnet and the neighours cats can easily break in, can anyone confirm this is durable to intrusion?

All we can comment is that since fitting this new microchip cat flap we haven't had a single unwanted visitor (well of the feline variety - in-laws are still getting in !!!) and our shy cat is a lot happier.

can it be manually operated so all of my cats can come in at night but not go out again ?

Yes, however one of our cats has worked out how to get out when in theory the cat-flap is locked. This rather smart cat bangs her paws against the flap such that the bottom corner moves slightly inward. She then slips her right paw under the flap, pulls the flap inwards, and squeezes out under the flap.  Our older cat hasn't managed to work it out, so when he's inside, he stays inside!

We currently have a Staywell standard manual cat flap, will this one fit the same hole?
