Could I use this to connect my keyboard to my porto studio recorder to produce a decent sound?

Depends on what you mean by "decent" sound, as long as you're connecting a 3.5mm jack to a 6.35mm one there is no restrictions on the TYPE of equipment that can be connected; and if both are static (not moving, like a guitar or headphones etc) the loose connection may not be an issue. In my review however you'll see I said it is poorly machined throughout, so I didn't use it for long, and another reviewer said theirs broke after one use, so I wouldn't recommend it; there are other, better, similarly priced or only slightly more expensive items out there.

Will this work with the later iPhones that do not have a headphone slot via the lightening adapter?
