I picked up this FerroFluid Display Toy mostly out of curiosity, and it honestly exceeded my expectations. Right out of the bottle, the ferrofluid reacts smoothly and dramatically to the included magnet. From a functional standpoint, it works exactly as advertised. The fluid moves cleanly inside the sealed bottle, and the response time to the magnet is instant. I bought this for my nephew for Christmas and it was a hit! Super fun to play with. No mess at all! The bottle is cute and thick. I hope it lasts a long time.

My eight year old, loves science, and watches, science, videos, where he saw someone using ferrofluid. He begged me to get this for him, so as a reward for good grades, this is what he wanted. He loves to play with it, and will pull it out to show his friends when they come over. The only reason I gave it one star is because the magnets came apart really easily and and got stuck to each other. We eventually got it unstuck, but it took a lot.

I bought one of these for my 8 year old, and am going to definitely order another for my work desk. I ordered a few ounces of ferrofluid for another experiment with my son, but saw this as an ‘immediate’ toy he could start getting curious with. The magnets it comes with were also stronger than expected, though I recommend a couple 50lb+ pull force magnets to really see how distance and strength affect the magnetic field lines. You just have to be careful with kids playing with magnets that strong.

I love that magnetic desk ornament; it keeps me very entertained when I'm stressed and have a lot of work to do.

I got this as a stocking stuffer along with books on states of matter for the kiddo in my life. I was disappointed to notice two things upon checking it: 1 - There are two spots inside of the bottle where the ferrofluid seems to be "stuck". No matter how many times I pass the magnet over it, it won't collect it all. It's a bit distracting. 2 - Some other folks mentioned a dirty air bubble that floats around. It seems there to stay. This would be great without those two quirks

Pedí este adorno de escritorio de Ferrofluido porque me pareció algo único y diferente. Es de plástico al parecer impreso en 3D color azul y tiene dos soportes para colocar los dos imanes, además tiene vidrio donde contiene el ferrofluido y viene con dos pares de imanes, cosa que me gustó mucho por si se te llega a perder alguno. Yo lo tengo en mi escritorio para esos momentos muertos dodne tengo tiempo libre o para liberar el estrés. Resulta ser muy interesante ya que al acercar un imán al ferrofluido comienza a acercarse a él y hacer formas diferentes, un poco de figuras geométricas entre más cerca lo pongas. Se siente de muy buena calidad y puede servir también para escuelas o maestros que quieran enseñar a sus alumnas como funciona este fluido. Yo sí lo recomiendo ya que es un producto único y que pocas personas conocen.

Básicamente un juguete de escritorio con el que puedes estar jugando en tiempos muertos solo para desconectarte un poco. Supongo que también tiene utilidad para el tema educativo pero yo solo lo adquirí por curiosidad. Es tema de conversación, cualquier persona que llegue a tu escritorio a verlo inmediatamente preguntará que es y se pondrá a jugar con él. Le quito una estrella por la falta de documentación...aún y cuando no es como que necesitas un manual, en la caja solo viene el juguete y no tiene ni un solo papel, si quiera diciendo si el contenido es tóxico o algo similar (investigue y parece ser inofensivo). El vidrio es sumamente grueso por lo que no me preocupa que se quiebre aún y si se cae. Sin embargo...no lo recomendaría para niños muy pequeños.
