Do the straps cut into the back of your knees and leave a red mark at all?

Hi. No, I have found them to be very comfortable. That said, I've only worn them over trousers so far so can't really speak for in the summer time and shorts as yet. I have worn them both with the straps horizontal and crossed at the back of my knee and prefer them crossed - the knee pads are more secure for me that way. Hope that helps.
