Excellent Trippy solar system thingy
My kid loves this ! It's fairly trippy too. Its that Tim Peakes fault I had to shell out for this for my son, however it's v.educational. That is all

Your own solar system
I bought this item back in summer for my children's room as this is a theme which is great for a boy/girl room share. The globes were not as large as I expected, however once I put them up they complimented the 'sun' light shade which we have covering the light bulb. The planets are each made of two half globes joined in the middle. This can be a problem for those who have a low ceiling and a bunkbed with an inquisitive child on top! I personally didn't find the picture on the pack a good guide, so looked up the solar system layout online (and in the process found out that Pluto is no longer considered a planet! So it wasn't a manufacturing error!) I used the light bulb as the sun. Initially I spaced the planets quite apart trying to cover the ceiling, but the further planets did not glow. Once they were bought closer to the light, they gave off enough glow for about an hour (after exposure to half an hours light during story time). So glow wise, it's not an all night thing. However if you label the planets, it is a great interactive way of getting the kids to learn about the solar system and does create quite a nice focal point on an otherwise bland area. My six year old has learnt the order of the planets just by reading these. I bought some glow in the dark stars to go with these so we have our own 'night sky' for about an hour before the little ones travel to the land of nod.

Not great for the price. Fall down immediately
Look good but don’t hold the light charge for long and do not stay on the ceiling with the tack provided, even with some inventive tacking. Would not recommend for the price

good idea but unsuccessful product
These planets do not glow as you expect in the dark , the element that glows is inserted inside each plastic ball and therefore exposure to light is very weak. The other problem is suspending the plantes: the majority of the balls is heavy and the string that is supposed to stick at its end keeps detaching causing few planets to scatter once they touch the floor.

Not worth the money.
They don’t stay hanging for long and fell down 3 times in 2 hours. They were delivered 2 days late and they don’t glow in the dark at all. Also if you want the full solar system beware - there’s no Pluto.
