Great product with no side effects
This is a good product. I use it to make my own alginate-based antacid (10 g Alginate, 3-4g Calcium Carbonate, 5g Sodium Bicarbonate in 200 ml of boiled then cooled water). It also doesn't affect my gut-brain axis like normal Gaviscon/Peptac does.

Good
Value for money, quite bulky. They are good, does what it says. Used this with another product in order to make popping balls with various juices.

Is what it says
I use this to make up a cheap version of Gaviscon advance, mixed 5:1 with potassium carbonate. I mix in Turmeric and licorice powder as well, and pop a quarter teaspoon in my mouth with water after meals. This makes it ideal for travel as it's a dry powder and much lighter, as well as much cheaper. In the Canaries you can't buy it anyway, except in very expensive tablet form.

Three Stars
Not what I expected. But that's not the fault of the product. I am sure it's very good

A good product for silent reflux...
I have now replaced the branded product to treat my silent reflux; it's the active ingredient and much cheaper. After a few attempts, I found the powder dissolved best if dropped into some water (say 200ml) pinch by pinch, while whisking vigorously till the right consistency. Then I let it stand a while and added some vanilla syrup (the sort that gets added to coffee) for a nice flavour, before putting in a glass jar in the fridge. Thanks to the other ratings comments here which led me to try it!

Good for preventing acid reflux
Mixed with a bit of water, this is really good for preventing nighttime acid reflux. It's one of the ingredients of Gaviscon Advance, but as some of the other ingredients of that don't agree with my stomach, this is great. I use half a teaspoon, stir it and leave it for a minute. Makes a flavourless gel which is easy to drink once you get past the strange texture. I'm sure it's great for cooking too as a tiny bit of powder makes a lot of gel. My GP recommended this to prevent damage to my throat.
