Does this liner actually go on the bottom of the oven or does it go on the bottom shelf if the element is enclosed?

Mine sits on the bottom of the oven to protect it from spills. I also have one sitting at the bottom of the grill too. You can cut it to size if it’s too big. Hope that helps.

Can I use this under my Airfryer/ toaster/ oven to protect my worktop

All I can offer is that I have airfryer and toaster on worktop never done any damage, the sheet goes in the oven and really only designed to catch grease and spillage., hope this helps
