Justice League International Omnibus Volume 1

My absolute favourite run of the Justice League, Kevin Maguire's facial expressions still make me roar with laughter. Just brilliant and funny and yet also quite dark (in places.) PLUS you get Mister Miracle and Big Barda, could you want for anymore. The book itself is beyond HUGE! Very well bound, so that you don't have to crease the pages to see the teeny tiny hidden bits in the centre of the book - yep some of these omnibuses are an absolute nightmare - not this one. BUY this classic!

Amazing book from an amazing run. Great stuff

I know that not every one enjoys this run, largely because of the eclectic team make up and humourous approach, but this is probably one of my favourite comics of all time. I have all of the original issues but I was still delighted to plonk down my cash for this huge and wonderful omnibus. Please buy this book; I'm desperate for sales to justify a second volume! Honestly, a real treat and featuring the tremendous facial expressions of Kevin Maguire.

Pages are in good condition but arrived with a cut going through the slipcover and into the hardcover

While it's good to read classic issues at a decent price, overall I'm left very unsatisfied by this collection. I can't imagine why they didn't simply put the first 24 issues in this but instead selected seemingly random issues and annuals. It's very uncohesive, you dip in and out of storylines, team members are in and out confusingly and you can't get a good comprehensive feel for the what the series was and how it built itself up over time. This was an iconic run but you don't get that impression here. The artwork was always very sparse and now it has been reproduced in a bigger format it's very noticeable. Overall dissapointing but I'd buy a sequential comprehensive collection in a heartbeat. Especially JLE..

Heel knappe lijvige omnibus. Jaren 80/90-feel. Past prima bij de collectie. Bovendien zonder schade toegekomen. De postman / leverancier belde aan en overhandigde het toch wel zware pakket (2 omnibussen) waardoor ook in de laatste stap geen schade ontstond....

Excellent service. Got it in one day delivery. Book came in mint condition as expected Excellent story. Keith Giffen and J.M DeMatteis created such a comedic and entertaining book, truly groundbreaking for the team, definite must read. Amazing art by Kevin Maguire. Couldn’t recommend this book enough.
