Perfect for miniature priming
I bought this product for priming/undercoating Warhammer 40k miniatures and am absolutely delighted with it. I've only ever used Games Workshop spray paint in the past so I was pretty nervous about using a far cheaper alternative. But having now undercoated a selection of characters, infantry and vehicles I can happily say that the Hycote spray produces better results, with a smoother finish and surface for painting on. It goes easily on to metal and plastic and is also suitable for undercoating resin without damaging the models - something I was quite concerned about before using the paint! I've undercoated models like the Ynarri Visarch - incredibly detailed plastic - with a perfect finish. One thing to look out for - the paint comes out of the can faster than GW spray and more consistently so you may need to be more controlled when spraying to avoid accidentally obscuring detail.

Model Rail Building
My husband uses this as a primer for his model railway work. He says it the best he’s ever used in all the years he’s been building

Very good product but a bit costly.
Very good, does exactly what it is made for, and well too. Not the cheapest product hence the lost star, but I suppose you fo get what you pay for, so generally happy.

Covered well and sanded well.
Did what it said on tin. You can see from photo . Patch repair. No before shot but they were deep well filled scratches. Primer has filled any tiny sanding marks and wet and dried shiny. Put a coat on and then gone back in with filler on photo. Happy primer will do the job when I get back to it….work in progress…lol.

Great for Warhammer miniatures
Had never used spray-can primers before, so practised on a few old Primaris Intercessors kindly donated by my local store manager. Shook for five minutes, then ran under hot water and made sure the can was hot when spraying. Short bursts of a few seconds each, then straight inside. After fifteen mins repeat and you've got a smooth, consistent basecoat that looks way better than when it's brushed on. One thing to note is that it is quite bright - slightly brighter than Citadel's Grey Seer so may be worth prepping in subassemblies to get to those hard to reach areas.

Probably the best primer in a can I have used. The spray was consistent and covered very evenly. If you follow the instruction and let it sit for 24 hrs it works flawlessly.

Excellent base for refurbing my boat's plastic console that has faded. Cleaned and lightly prepped with 220, this laid down very nicely, smooth and without spray pain sputters or issue. Excellent adhesion and very pleased with the results.
