Product Description ------------------- This Fotodiox lens adapter is made with high standard precision. Its all metal design and polished surface is designed to guarantee smooth ing and long lasting experiences. It allows Canon EOS (EF / EF-s) Lenses to fit on the Sony Alpha E- system camera body with full communication between the lens and body. Automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing and other modes and functions will operate correctly while using this adapter. Infinity focusing is allowed. Compatible cameras (including but not limited to): Sony ILCE-7, ILCE-7R and ILCE-7S (α7 / α7R / α7S), Sony NEX-3, NEX-5, NEX-C3, NEX-5N, NEX-7, NEX-F3, NEX-5R, NEX-6, Sony NEX-VG10, NEX-VG20, NEX-VG30, NEX-VG900, NEX-FS100, NEX-FS700, NEX-EA50 The product pictured may have slight differences in appearance from the actual product such as color, font style, and/or other cosmetic changes due to improvements in design. Limitation Details: - Some lenses will have slow auto focus, or no auto focus at all. (Especially third party lenses) - Sw between image and video can cause camera to freeze. - When sw f stops in video mode can cause white flashes in video. - Longer focal length lenses tend to have more issues with auto focus with the auto adapter. - Only Canon-branded lenses introduced 2006 or after are officially supported. - By default Sony cameras have 1/3 stops, however F1.2 is a half stop, so when that lens is wide open, F1.3 is displayed even though you’re actually shooting at F1.2, but if you really need the metadata and camera it to say 1.2 instead, you can set the camera to do so by setting the the EV dial on the camera to zero, then change this setting: Menu > Camera Settings > Exposure Step > 0.5 EV *Note: Auto Focus can be Slow or even not function with varied model lenses and even different lenses of same model.
