This item was delivered boxed and in perfect condition at 0800 this date having been only ordered the previous day. In relation to the item having used it today, I can say that it is excellent. Light to handle and a joy to use. If you get the chance to buy this model I can say you will have no problems. I would recommend Amazon for their amount of choice and quality items.

As I have come to expect from Makita, quality that works as it should

As a Makita fan for diy I've been looking at their power saws for sometime. I noticed that the price on this model had reduced substantially from earlier in the year and so went fot it. Very glad I did. An excellent compact and lightweight saw with plenty of power for my purposes. Glides through sheet ply like a dream where the blower function really comes into its own. Much faster rotation and brake than my mitre saw but I will probably get used to that with practice. Overall a great little saw at a great price.

Not sure how i ever managed without one of these - sure, there are other brands but since I have three Makita batteries, it was a no brainer. So, not sure how it stacks up against other models or brands, but so far I cannot fault this tool as it has literally got me put of trouble a few times since I bought it. It's worth investing in a blade with higher teeth count (say, 60T) than the blade that comes with the saw (16T), if you want really fine cuts on sensitive or brittle material. A winner.

Happy with this little dude. A review stated it didn't work with the smaller batteries, so I've got a bigger one on order. I figured why not give the 1.5 aH batteries a shot, and they worked fine. Cut up a couple pallets no problem with the stock blade. Seems to do what it says it can do. No bells or whistles. Safety switch. On. No brake. Like all the simple saws I used growing up before stuff got fancy. Not that I mind fancy, but for the price vs function of this little saw... I'm happy. It's prefect for my purposes, puttering about with small projects in a one bedroom apartment. Do some quick cuts out on the balcony during daytime hours. I did just get it yesterday, but already got some stuff done I wanted to get done.
