Draper 57569 Mini Round Point Shovel with Fibreglass Shaft, Blue

Good, strong and handy

Bought this in 2016 so thought it was time to review! I use this around the garden for a variety of different things. Planting (it’s not too big), splitting (it’s sharp and can be re-sharpened), generally going all round the garden (it’s lightweight) and as a metal detecting spade (fastens to a backpack) - no word of a lie, it’s been brilliant. Grandson also uses it now as it’s easy to use for the purposes outlined. I use it at least once a week in winter and nearly every day in summer.

This is a light weight which is just fine and its a full size square mouth shovel... it will be ideal for moving snow, sand etc off the drive or any flat surface. Not really suitable for digging the garden. This is fine for occasional use and great value

I am not very tall, but am an avid gardener. I'm not child size, but this little shovel has been incredibly useful for digging new flower beds containing garden rubble and flints. The point cuts through surface grass/weeds and the low weight and small size has helped me lift the rubble, along with a pickaxe for the more troublesome items, allowing a middle aged woman in her mid-fifties to create a new garden, albeit bit by bit. This is almost like a cross between a full sized shovel and a strong trowel.

Really pleased with this. Very light to use and shovel just the right size you can't overload it. Good value.

delivered monday 7th in the AM 3 days ahead of guesstimated schedule - good quality shovel for under £10 and a considerable saving thanks to the free delivery on rival suppliers tooled-up-com / screwfix.com and others where cheapest online price was well over £20 - lucky i spotted this shovel on amazon's free delivery - slightly better quality / better made shovel than the silverline £6 jobbie i bought last week but not better by a long way by any means - silverline cheap one still a good shovel so if you don't need a shovel for anything useful after the winter snow is a distant memory then buy the cheap £6 silverline - this draper shovel has a well fixed shaft to blade and D handle has 2 rivets in it so unlikely to fall to bits under abuse - fibreglass shaft seems indestructible and a pretty canary yellow colour so recommended all round 10/10

This is a good spade has a scratch on it but I didn’t read the description I thought I ordered a normal size spade this is a mini spade guess my 3 year old grandson can use it lol

Leider geht aus der Beschreibung nicht hervor, dass der Stil (Nur ca 55 cm) misst. Preis und Qualität hingegen sind hervorragend. Der kurze Griff hat auch Vorteile: man hat damit einen besseren Winkel und kann damit schwere Lasten (zB. Bauschutt) gut bewegen. Es kommt also darauf an für welchen Einsatz man die Schaufel braucht. Der Beschaffenheit nach ist dieses Teil wirklich unverwüstlich, der Preis stimmt auch.
