Review: Better strings for your uke! - Had always used Aquila strings on my concert uke as they seem to be universally acknowledged as the only ones to have! However, on searching the store to order a new set I read the blurb about d'dadario titanium strings and risked buying a set! They are transparent with a slightly purple hue and look very smart. The G in the set I received was long enough to install with enough spare to provide a replacement, don't know if this is intentional but it's a welcome bonus as it always seems to be the G that breaks first! The tension across the strings seems even but slightly tighter than Aquilas preventing unwanted string bending when fretting chords. The tone is distinctly bright with increased sustain producing a very pleasing tone, especially if you use a finger picking style, which as a guitarist, I do. This clearer, sharper sound delivers credibility to the instrument as a serious one and not a plinky plonky comedy tool! Consequently I have been encouraged to play my uke much more and that has to be good.

**Q: Will these work on a vorson 4 string electric guitar?**
A: Nope

**Q: Wow, lots of conflicting answers. Fluorocarbon low G wound or unwound, seller?**
A: The low g for my tenor was wound and awful. I went with Brown. They sell a low g pack with a nylon low g.

**Q: Why is g tuning at c with baritine fluorocarbon strings?**
A: I have a PONO Mango wood baritone with Low G strings.  Sounds beautiful with fluorocarbon strings without a problem.  I don’t play anything on high G.  ALL my ukes have Low G strings.
My baritone is tuned GCEA without issues

**Q: Can I use tenor strings on a long neck concert?**
A: I am surprised J. McGurk and Gerald W haven't heard of long neck concert Ukulele's. It is exactly as it sounds. They are Concert sized bodies with tenor length necks so they have the benefit of extra frets with wider spacing between the frets. The best of both worlds. Smaller body with a more roomy neck. I don't see any reason you couldn't use these tenor strings on a long neck concert ukulele. I think the string tension based on the length of the neck to the body is the important consideration rather than the size of the body when choosing string size.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Good Strings - for the right playing style

I fitted these for my Cordoba 24C concert. They were a great improvement on the Aquila Nylgut fitted on purchase and are great for strumming and thumb chord / melody arrangements where they give a really vibrant tone in the upper registers. However they are not so good for my type of fingerstyle playing where I used the fleshy part of my fingers rather than just the fingernail. The strings are a bit too thin to have the right response. Having said that, I generally use my tenor and baritone ukes for fingestyle. If you are into fingerstyle playing then I would recommend the D'addario fluorocarbon strings.
