This has a great flavour. Brings back memories from my childhood. Great on/in cakes and a lush pie. The proper stuff!

This is lovely coconut but the size for the price is just not worth the expense

Sweetened coconut is a game changer when making carrot cake; it makes the cake so moist. It is shredded in such a way it adds texture to the cake and is not lost in the batter mix.

Unfortunately not available in our supermarkets but essential in some USA recipes. A little costly - but used for old timey recipes.

I bought this to make London cheesecakes but the bits were really small and didn’t have the same bite to them. Extremely sweet too.

I love this sweetened coconut for baking (and grabbing handfuls to nibble on!!). Makes the most delicious, moist cakes and muffins! I often buy when on offer and freeze and it's still fresh and great to use. Thoroughly recommend!

Apart from being the only sweetened coconut I have been able to buy, it is close to the stuff I remember from 60 years ago. It is excellent for bun making and London cheese cakes in particular. The product keeps well (longer than suggested on packet) once opened. However, it is quite expensive, but does go a long way.
