This is amazing my daughter rolled her quad and snapped the plastic, for new plastic it would have cost £500. We used this and it's been put back together extremely strong and safe. What an amazing tool and an amazing price definitely recommend this product. Easy to use, heats up quickly, works a treat.

I looked initially at the 50watt model but pleased I eventually went for the more powerful 150 watt model. It heats up the staples really quickly and I’ve now used the tool a few times very successfully to repair cracked or broken plastic items. Comes with a case and a good selection of accessories covering different types of repair. The cutters which come with the kit are basic and I suspect the cutting jaws may deteriorate and wear out but overall I’m delighted with the heat gun and how it performs. I’m confident it will pay for itself and it’s a shame I didn’t buy one earlier.

Really really surprised as to quality of box it comes with, the heat gun & all the accessories with it - for £25 I think. Tried it once using the joining pins and smoothing plate on an old strimmer that needed repairs. Heated up instantly, inserted 6 joining pins, cut off & melted over joint. Chuffed. Find something else to practice with before go on to my main job. So excellent buy - so far !

Genuinely surprised by how good this is! I've got a 2007 Piaggio Porter with a cracked front bumper. They stopped making these in 2010 so parts in good condition are hard to come by. You can find them on auction sites and marketplace but they usually have issues too. Knew they are around £300 delivered from Italy. I thought I'd give this a go as I've got a nasty crack on the top of the bumper and a couple of smaller cracks on the lower part. So far I've successfully managed to join the big crack. The staples they give you are great. Plenty of them too. It's done the job. The small plastic welding rods are perfect for tidying up the joint. Once it's joined I will sand it back and use some flexi body filler on it. I'm certain once it's painted in raptor you won't even know it was cracked. It does get hot (obviously). I'd suggest using gloves and in a well ventilated area! The fumes are potent and probably poisonous. But overall fantastic.

The product works - it has little staples that get really hot, and when plunged into plastic act like a suture. There is also stainless steel mesh that you can embed into plastic - and that gives it real strength. It is cheep and a bit nasty but it does the job. It is worth the money. It does work - provided you flare the staples. I had a lot of trouble with the odd spatula like fitting that you use with the mesh - but figure out that you need to get some pliers on the connectors so they make good electrical contact. Once I figured this out it worked ok. In summery you get what you pay for - its not a quality tool but it works and it has got me out of some tight corners. (oh yes practice on some odd bits before you use it on the real job)

Good product, very fit for purpose. Good selection of accessories and plenty of it. Does not work with all types of plastics, but that’s to be expected.

Poorly thought-out case design. The device overheats so quickly that the case starts to melt, and it is impossible to hold it in your hands. The next day the device burned out and no longer works. I am processing a return.
