Fixed my leaking bathroom taps perfectly – strong, waterproof, and still holding after weeks
I bought this JB Weld Original Cold-Weld epoxy specifically to repair two leaking bathroom taps that were dripping constantly from the base and joints. The taps are old chrome ones and I didn’t want to replace the whole thing yet, so I decided to give JB Weld a try. Application was straightforward. I cleaned the area thoroughly, dried it completely (used a hairdryer), mixed the two parts of the epoxy, and applied it generously around the leaking joints and base. It has a good working time before it starts to thicken, which gave me time to position it properly. I let it cure for the full 24 hours as recommended before turning the water back on. The result? Completely stopped the leaks. No more dripping, even under normal hot/cold water use and daily pressure. It bonds incredibly well to the metal and has stayed rock solid. I was worried about it holding up in a constantly wet bathroom environment, but weeks later it still looks and performs like new. Pros: Extremely strong once cured (steel-reinforced really makes a difference) Waterproof and heat-resistant enough for bathroom use Easy to mix and apply Great value – one pack does multiple small repairs Cons: None in my case. It does have a bit of a smell while mixing, but that disappears quickly. If you have leaking taps, pipe joints, or any metal repair in a wet area, this stuff is brilliant. Highly recommend – it’s saved me from calling a plumber twice now!

Rockshox fork steerer extension.
Bought some Ebay Rockshox revelation MTB forks that had been cut too short at the stem by the previous owner at a knockdown price. Bought an expanding extension and used this epoxy to cement it in position. Brilliant results and I have a great set of forks for less than half price that are now safe to use on a new e-bike build.

This is some good stuff, ive docked a star because it failed, somehow where my windscreen wiper arm under the scuttle panel connects to the motor, it decided to snap, so I used this stuff but it failed and I need to do it again, could do with being able to give an extra half start really but hey ho. So far its held up, if it goes again ill just re-apply, it dries rock hard and is super dooper easy to use.

Strong epoxy. Always good for emergencies.
For anyone that's never used this stuff. Use gloves as the hardener is nasty stuff. It mixes easily and goes off in 24hours. It can be machined afterwards. Great for difficult spots or thin material where welding could cause damage. Great to have in emergencies. I always have some just in case.

This is the stuff...
Well, what can I say? An awesome product! For reasons best known to my wife, she decided she wanted to permanently fix a metal hook handle onto a glass saucepan lid (instead of using the provided screw-attached handle). "Crazy idea" I told her. A metal bonding to a smooth and shiny rounded glass surface - forget it. After conceding that I'd give it a go, guess what? Yep, it's attached perfectly and has survived quite a bashing. I actually do think that the glass would break before the adhesive bond. Truly marvellous stuff.

Yet another late delivery on Amazon Prime!
Product good. Shame it took three days, instead of promised next day on Prime, to arrive, thus delaying an urgent job. Amazon Prime still expensive, but recently been very unreliable!

JB Weld Really Does Provide A “Weld’
Could not find a drill bit that would provide a pilot hole in stainless steel to hold an eyelet to carry the weight of a hanging basket filled with plants so decided to try JB Weld Original Cold-Weld. Mixed as per instructions and placed a layer on the eyelet plate which was also stainless steel then, used some adhesive tape to hold it in place and left it for 36 hours just to be sure it had dried as at the time Feb 2026 the weather was below freezing. The hanging baskets full of compost and pansies weigh just over 22lbs (just under 10Kgs) and obviously a little more after watering. Being a little cautious I hung the baskets on the eyelets but just in case the JB Weld failed I used some nylon rope fixed to a part of the balcony structure, not supporting the baskets but to stop them from falling to the ground and possibly damaging some porch tiles. However after three months and some heavy gusts of wind the baskets are still in situ. Not often you find an adhesive that does what it says, so if you need an adhesive for fixing stainless steel to stainless this should do it and feel sure other metal as well.

Gran epoxi

I used the J-B Weld Twin Tube while fixing the mounting area of a thermocouple/RTD sensor
I used the J-B Weld Twin Tube while fixing the mounting area of a thermocouple/RTD sensor, and the results were impressive. The epoxy creates a very strong and reliable bond once properly mixed and applied. It worked well for a high-temperature application and held the sensor firmly in place. The application process is simple—just mix equal parts and apply. After curing, the bond becomes extremely solid and durable. It’s a great solution for small industrial repairs, metal parts, and sensor fittings. Overall, it’s a dependable epoxy that every DIY enthusiast or maintenance professional should keep in their toolkit.
