The best shave you’ll ever have
Just coming to the end of the first pot of this and at 57 years old, this is the best shaving cream I’ve ever used. The lather is so thick and creamy and not a single nick in 7 months. My wife loves the Sandalwood smell, so I also love it!! Going to buy some more soon.

FANTASTIC!
I've been a repeat buyer of Taylor of Old Bond Street's Peppermint Shaving Cream, and it consistently delivers a 5-star shaving experience. The invigorating peppermint scent provides a refreshing kick to my morning routine, leaving me feeling revitalized. The cream lathers up beautifully, providing a smooth and comfortable shave every time.As a repeat customer, I appreciate the consistent high quality of this product. The luxurious texture ensures a close shave without irritation, making it a must-have for anyone who values a top-notch grooming routine. The packaging is elegant, and the cream itself lasts a long time, making it a cost-effective choice. What sets Taylor of Old Bond Street apart is the variety of scents available, and I'm already eyeing other options to try. The brand's commitment to quality and the overall shaving experience makes it my go-to choice, and I highly recommend the Peppermint Shaving Cream to anyone seeking a superior shaving product.

The best shaving cream I have ever bought in over 40 years of shaving
Over the years I've lazily drifted towards aerosol and or gel based shaving creams but I just couldn't find one that suited my beard. They also have a tendency to clog up and solidify in the space between the blades, (even after rinsing after each shave) making for more blade changes than necessary. A few months ago, I dug out my old shaving brush and bought a dish of shaving soap from my local chemist and again was disappointed, as it took a lot of work to build up a lather (slightly hard water here). Persevering, I found this shaving cream here on Amazon, and as I find the smell of lavender really relaxing, I hit the one click button, and it arrived within 72 hours of ordering, which was excellent service. I see that a fellow reviewer didn't like the packaging, which is a very thick cream plastic, with lavender lettering. I find it functional, not at all cheap looking, and for me it looks nice on the bathroom window. Opening the screw top, you'll find that, unlike many other creams, it has a clear plastic slip over inner cap that is designed to keep the cream moist, and it works perfectly. The lavender coloured cream itself is generously filled into the bowl and is the best shaving cream I have ever bought for building a lather. I honestly need only to touch my shaving brush gently onto the surface of the bowl to get a really luxurious lather. The lavender scent is classy, understated, and relaxing. I use such a small amount of cream at each shave that it looks like this bowl will last me months and months. Having tried this brandI doubt now that I will ever buy another brand of shaving cream, or go back to aerosols and soaps. I may try Taylors Sandalwood, as that is another fragrance I like a lot, but the luxury afforded by this brand is all I'm ever going to need, plus, being a light cream, it rinses out of my razor perfectly with minimum effort. If you are looking for a classy shaving cream with a very understated and relaxing fragrance, please buy this with confidence, it really is that good. It would make the perfect present. I hope this helped you with your buying decision.

Not great for my particular skin, but a decent cream at a good price
I have used Taylors creams in the past, and in particular the lavender shaving cream. If you like the lavender you will like the rose, and vice versa - they have very similar characteristics apart from (obviously) the particular flower scent. Others have complained about the packaging. I didn't really have a problem. The top could have been on tighter and the internal plastic lid had lifted a little, but this is quite a firm solid cream (like a hair wax) so leaking isn't a particular danger. The material of the pot and appearance are perhaps on the cheaper end of the spectrum, but then again so is this cream (I paid just less than £10). I wasn't impressed but I was happy enough. The scent is really distinctive. When I showed my wife she immediately said "Yum - Turkish delight" and that's pretty spot on. It's a very powerful sweet rose scent and it smells delicious. I was concerned that it would last a long time and make me smell "girly", but it dissipates quickly after shaving and I wasn't worried about it clashing with my choice of aftershave. Essentially it's a great smell whilst you're shaving but won't stay with you in a big way and I'm fine with that in a soap. In terms of lather, I was a little disappointed. I've had similar TOBS creams before and remembered them giving me a good lather, but I find this a bit drying and not as smooth as I had expected. It could be a slightly different recipe, or it might be simply that it's 6 months since I last used a TOBS cream and I've got used to other (better?) creams since. It lathers easily and the lather looks good, but it just doesn't provide the same lubrication that I'm getting from the (more expensive) Dr Harris cream that I'm also currently using. Consequently, my shave is neither as close not as comfortable. I should add that I have skin that is very sensitive to soap and dries very quickly when exposed to it. That is the reason I use creams and not soaps. The drying non-lubricating sensation is *exactly* what I experience when using a soap - especially as other reviewers here are reporting much better performance. I will continue to use it because I love the scent so much - but probably occasionally rather than day to day. I was a little disappointed, but I think that's probably down to my particular skin rather than a lack of quality in the cream. The scent is really nice and the price is very good. So I'm giving it 4 stars for its general quality - I'd recommend it to others but not to myself!

Splendid aid to stubble removal
The perfect prelude to a 'wet' shave. Easy to use. It produces an excellent lather. Pleasant perfume and a splendid aid to stubble removal.

Believe the hype!
I purchased this shaving cream after I saw it recommended on almost every single article or YouTube channel that reviews such products, and I'm happy to say the hype is real. As someone who shaves almost daily, I found this product excellent primarily for the following reasons: 1. A little truly goes a long way. This particular tub lasted over 4 months, which also makes it excellent value for money. Using a lathering brush, I would only need to dip the tip of the brush onto the cream, and this would be enough to work up a very good lather, good enough for two shaves. 2. Excellent for sensitive skin. I'm quite prone to razor burn, particularly around the neck area, and while I used this product I almost never experienced it. On the few occasions I did, I realised it was because it was past time to swap my blade. 3. It has a truly fantastic scent, which just adds to an already pleasurable shaving experience. This seemed like a minor point to me when I read the reviews and recommendations, but found that I missed it quite a lot when I switched to another brand. Finally, and only because Amazon requested a star rating on this, I would argue that this tub is perhaps not ideal for travelling, but this will ultimately depend on the size of each person's toiletry kit. Mine is a compact sized kit and, while this tub does fit in it, I found that it occupies quite a bit of space, which meant not being able to add other items I would also normally pack. This does not in anyway detract from the 5 star rating however, but felt it should be mentioned.
