Maca powder is one of those foodstuffs akin to Marmite - it can be either loved or hated and is probably for an acquired taste. In my case, I started off hating it but after some research and experience with consumption, I now like it. I use it as part of my pre-workout regime at the gym if I haven't had enough time to eat something solid and it does help - along with raw coffee beans - to maintain my energy levels as well as alertness. Additionally, it did help at one point to rebalance me after a lengthy spell of stress, which affected my hormones. However, as with everything in life, this stuff needs to be taken in moderation. As it acts on the endocrine system, I would recommend one consumes two TEAspoons in one day maximum and discourage every day use. Space the consumption out. Additionally, don't take this if you take any other medication, particularly any ones dealing with hormonal quirks. Always consult a doctor before considering this. Furthermore, what the packaging doesn't tell you is that this is RAW maca powder. From the scattered information I read about this, not only is this form not recommended for direct consumption but also it explains the bad taste many complain about. Think of lingering raw, bitter parsnip and that is what this will taste like straight from the bag. To make it more palatable, the powder should be roasted for 7-10 minutes in the oven on a low heat (Gas Mark 2 recommended) so as not to lose the nutrients - it will brown and taste sweeter, more dulcet and closer to the 'malt' or 'butterscotch' claims commonly ascribed to it.

Excellent organic product, I sprinkle this on my porridge or greek yoghurt in the morning before work usually a heaped teaspoon , has a strong smell, but tastes fine, I definitely feel better throughout the day energy wise, and for the price and how long it lasts its a no brainer, will be ordering again, not tried any other brands yet but will stick with this one just now

This is very nice I put it in my tea have had to acquire the taste but it’s ok my daughter recommended it and puts it in yoghurt or on porridge says it is really nice

It's sometimes difficult to get but always good quality

After using this product without any issues initially, I started experiencing spotting after a month, which prompted me to seek medical advice. Despite having gone through menopause eight years ago, the occurrence of spotting was unusual for me, leading me to consult a doctor. Based on my experience, I strongly advise seeking medical advice before using this product, particularly if you are undergoing hormonal changes, as it can potentially affect your hormone balance. Personally, I discontinued using the product and my symptoms have ceased since then.

Good value for money

I ordered this because it was recommended for cycle regulation (for pcos). I feel that in the short time that I took it, it already started to work. I also have added to it to soups, homemade protein balls/bars. If consumed in water, it doesn't taste so great, I have to take a deep breath, and hold my nose...that is however, the quickest way to get it working. Also, if you've heard anything about it being sort of an aprodesiac...well, it's true. ;-) Enjoy - I can only recommend it. There is a lot of material in the internet, that you can read about. I recommend doing your research before buying it, in order to know the best ways to use it, for fertility, energy, etc.

The process was quick. It was my first time trying of maca and I've been using it to skip coffee when I'm alone. It has a root-y kind of taste, but more delicate than matcha (for the rookies). I'm still trying to figure out whether I'll keep consuming it or not.

Le goût me gêne un peu mais le produit en lui même fait son effet. Avec le temps, on s'y habitu ! Ma nutritionniste m'a conseillée ce produit car je suis intolérante au gluten et que je perds beaucoup mes cheveux. Du coup, il paraît que ce produit est un bon remplaçant à la levure de bière. Pour l'instant, je ne vois pas encore de résultat concret, si ce n'est que mes petits cheveux repoussent plus vite

Bin total begeistert von diesem Produkt! Die Qualität ist echt toll! Kann die Rezensionen, in denen sich über den Geschmack beklagt wird überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen. Klar, der Geschmack ist ungewohnt beim ersten Mal, aber ich find ihn echt toll - freu mich sogar immer sehr darauf! Habs bis jetzt nur im Wasser versucht - einen Teelöffel in einem Glas verrührt. Zur Wirkung - ich fühl mich richtig fit fürs tägliche Training und eindeutig leistungsfähiger :) Die Maca Pflanze wird ja auch als natürliches Potenzmittel verwendet - diese Wirkung kann ich nur bestätigen ;) Werde es auf jeden Fall weiter nehmen!
