How much Volts wil go to the microphone after plugging it into the adapter? Is it enough to make my modmic 4.0 sound good?

One of the pictures suggested it uses a C-Media HS-100B chipset which should be able to provide 5v of power. I am purchasing one of these to test with my modmic 4.0 and will get back with my results.

Does the mic/line in on this record in stereo??? Conflicting answers, some say it can record stereo, some say the input is only mono?????

I'm sure you can providing you are using a 'dynamic' microphone Its a stand alone Sound Card with both microphone input and headphone output. It will only work with a 'Dynamic microphone' not an Electret microphone that requires an excitation voltage.

Does this work with a combined headset and microphone such as the Apple earphones lead?
