So bleeding piles, stomach ulcers, anal fissure would all give false positive results. Bowel cancer doesn't always bleed, so there is a chance of a false negative result too. Read up on the symptoms of bowel cancer. There are a few that couldn't be much else. If you've got black, dense poo that comes out with the diameter a 'pencil', feel weak, look pale skinned, forget the test, go see a doctor immediately.
