Review: A great set - What a great chess set. My daughter loves HP and was introduced to chess by the school. So this was a no brainer!! There was however a base that had fallen off a piece which I glued back on. It’s a shame the sound effects don’t work when player another player and not the computer.
Review: Electronic HP chessboard - Better than I expected, not too sure how to do everything on it yet as I am still just a beginner. It would’ve been a lot nicer, if it was bigger though, or maybe the chest pieces were a little bit smaller because I fall all over the place. Great item. I’m happy with it and so far. It’s been teaching me the moves so that’s fine. I’m also a Harry Potter fan so I’ve got all of the chess sets from the mini one, the electronic one, the magnetic one, and I’ve even got the large Lewis set, and hopefully will be able to save up for the Noble collection HP chess set.

**Q: Do you have to use the white tape on the bottom when replacing the chess pieces with glasss ones**
A: Dear Customer,
Transparent pieces that fit in the squares can be used as the recording move system works with pressure on the chess squares. Therefore, you don’t need to use the white tape on the bottom of the pieces when replacing them with glass ones.

**Q: How do you set the level**
A: Hi David,
 
To change levels or play styles, follow these instructions:
1. Press the "LEVEL" button to enter the level selection mode.
2. The computer will light up the light that corresponds to the current level (e.g., square A6 corresponds to level 6, normal playing mode).
3. Refer to the table in the instruction manual for the box corresponding to the desired level and playing style.

What a great chess set. My daughter loves HP and was introduced to chess by the school. So this was a no brainer!! There was however a base that had fallen off a piece which I glued back on. It’s a shame the sound effects don’t work when player another player and not the computer.

I’m happy to say it’s actual chess, not a novelty version with altered “wizard chess” rules. What stood out to me right away is the thematic creativity. The electronic tactile board works well once you understand how it responds to piece movement. I’ll be honest—the initial setup and learning curve took a bit of patience. The instructions aren’t immediately intuitive, and it took me a few tries to feel confident using it correctly. That said, once you get the hang of it, the game becomes very enjoyable, especially for players who already know how to play chess.
