This is an impressively low cost bundle of useful prototyping components. The pack consists of a range of discrete components, a breadboard and breadboard jumper cables. The bundle comes with a storage case making it great for students on the move or just as a useful collection of commonly used components. This kit includes the following items: Kit contents are listed at the top of the page. Product Code: HCKITS0030 Review: Very good selection - Good selection of components, esp for the price. Some observations - LEDs are fairly sensitive, if you connect them to 3V without a resistor they burn out - The jumper cables are very high quality - The little breadboard is very handy, but the power rails on mine do not perfectly match the jumper cables, so I ended up using a thicker wire - Resistors, capacitors are a good selection (100, 220, 330, 1k, 10k, 100k, 0.47k, 4.7k, 47k Ohm, 0.01, 0.1, 10, 220 uF) Review: great starting kit - I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the buttons in the kit have flat pins that cannot be inserted into the breadboard. My solution was to cut one of the jump leads in the kit in half, and solder the cut ends onto the button pins. The other ends of the lead are designed to be inserted into the breadboard,

Excellent value. Can't fault it
Really nice kit with a great stock of commonly used components. Nice case as well. Some may find fault with what isn't there, but as a starter, it is excellent value. Semiconductors and a decent rechargeable battery can be easily bought as required.

Love it - perfect for uni projects
Bought it to help construct my second year uni project as lockdown meant I couldn’t go and get my own things. This had all the basics I needed - LEDS, different coloured push buttons, a breadboard, capacitors, buzzers and different resistors. Great to just have even as a backup in your workshop incase you run out of basic supplies.

Not too bad, but not really comprehensive enough.
A reasonable starting place for people looking to learn about electronics, but more comprehensive kits are available. Supplied LEDs look very cheaply made and I've had some questionable tolerance on the supplied resistors. It all looks pretty cheap. But, it is cheap. You pays your money, you makes your choice...

Look for better alternatives.
A bit poor, and doesn't go beyond the basic passive electronics. There are better options there. The breadboard is two small, you'll have a hard time into designing something more complex than a simple led circuit with a switch. It can be a good product if you need some components for your project.

Good for learning about programming Particle Photon & probably any Raspberry Pi's or Arduino boards too...
Bought this to have some things to play with my when programming my Particle Photon. Great kit of parts & a useful breadboard too. Could maybe do with a few data sheets for some of the components, but in general very pleased.

As described
It has average quality components, good to start - average quality for average price. Misses some components details though.
