Olfa RTY-2DX Deluxe Rotary Cutter, 45 mm, Yellow

Great product which makes light work of my many crafts jobs. It is the sort of product you buy and then wonder how you ever managed without one before. And I have just discovered pinking blades

I'd previously tried unsuccessfully with a rotary cutter and didn't get on with it at all. Olfa had good reviews and so I thought I'd give it another try for my current sewing project. I found the Olfa cutter easier to use. It takes a little while to get used to the right amount of pressure needed for a cut but it's easy to hold and I like the safety feature of the button which prevents accidental use.

Never used a cutting wheel before. I love the see retractable blade with the locking mechanism, locks shut and open, Very sharp wheel and the wheel is is replaceable. easy to use and same Ofla quality as the knives I usually use.

Really good cutter. Very sharp and cut through multiple layers. I used it when making a padded and laminated Food mixer cover For a friend (so two layers of cotton, one of padding and two layers of plastic coating) My only disappointment is that it seems to miss cutting a teeny bit, maybe only two threads, every rotation . I can feel the jump in it as I use it. Of course this may be what it should do, I’m not sure. But I then need to repeat or snip with scissors . Other than that .. perfect and far neater than using scissors. I just need to take a bit more time cutting as I get used to it. I had a few cuts that went off my straight edge due to me going too fast but I am certainly converted to a cutter 😊👍

Does what it should do. Smooth, sharp and easy to use

My first try with a rotary cutter. Is very sharp. Easy to manoeuvre around a pattern. Strurdy little tool. The blade retracts when not in use. A great tool to add to my sewing paraphernalia.

I chose this item as I already had a similar one which had became blunt. Didn’t realise how blunt it was until I used new one which is very sharp. Great value for money and saved a lot of my time

This is my first rotary cutter and I'm very impressed. It cuts through multiple layers very well. I was concerned about safety and there is a blade guard. Locks securely. Great cutter.

Estoy muy contenta con el cúter. Es muy seguro porque a diferencia de otro que tengo, la cuchilla sólo permanece fuera mientras se aprieta el mango. También he notado que pesa menos que otros cúters. El corte es fino y totalmente uniforme y no requiere de una segunda pasada para hacer efectiva la separación de telas. Además funciona genial para el corte de papel y cartón, por lo que lo aconsejo para ser usado por niñ@s, siempre bajo supervisión, puesto que no deja de ser una cuchilla. Debo decir que todavía no le he dado excesivo uso, por lo que no puedo opinar sobre la durabilidad y/o desgaste de la cuchilla. La única pega es que la cuchilla recoge residuos de tela al cortarla, al menos con tejidos de algodón, por lo que requiere un mantenimiento más constante. Aún así mi valoración sobre el producto es de máxima satisfacción.

It's a good purchase, received the blade today and tested on some cotton fabrics with folded in 8 layers and it did cut the fabric smoothly. You do need to put little pressure and hold the blade steady and in one stroke; 'voila'. Makes my job easier. Now, let's see how long the blade's sharpness lasts. Hope it goes a long way.
