Hi, I have never used a terracotta pot before - is it suitable for electric hobs? Can I fry eggs/meat without oil? How to clean before use?

Hallo I have never cooked on electric as I have gas I fry eggs bacon also do stir fries ,just rinse under col tap befor use and be very careful once you have served up do not put hot dish in water until it cools down it could crack if this is done. Hope this helps

Do you need to soak this overnight before first use?

I did not soak it overnight, however, I only used it to serve food not for cooking. If you are cooking in it perhaps it would be a good idea to soak before using it.

Where is the terracotta cookware made?

The first terracotta piece of cookware I bought (not through Amazon) was made in Spain and is identical to those pieces I did buy from Amazo .
